I define magic as this: "magic is the perception of knowledge that one person has that another has not".
Example......Dark ages > a peasant goes to his king an asks for some items. The king says "no" and sends him away. The next day the same peasant come back and asks the same thing but this time he give the king an ultimatum "If we do not get what we ask for, I will darken the sky." the king laughs and send the man away.
Next day in the middle of the afternoon the sky gets dark as night. The king summons the peasant and gives him what he has been asking for, and with fear in his eyes asked the peasant for the sun to return. The peasant said "done" and the sun slowly returns.

Where is the magic you say. will the peasant working outside all the time learned the lunar cycles well, the king did not require this knowledge so it was not known to him that on that day an eclipse would darken the afternoon sky. And because of that the peasant got what he needed and the King got the sun back (that never really left) everyone is happy.

Magic spelt like this is parlour tricks or sleight of hand....
Magick spelt like this is the real magick and we add the K to separate it from parlour tricks etc...

Magick is a manipulation of energy, to bring about a desired result...
It's a bit like a Christian praying and then their prayer is answered, that is a form of magick, even though they would never admit it....
Also do not get caught up with anything to do with Crowley until you have been practising for many, many years..
Magick is not a game, and it is never to be used to harm anyone or cause any damage...
Remember that what you send out into the universe will come back to you threefold...
And it harm none, do what you will....
Blessed Be....)O(

Magic exists in every thing. Check out wicca.com. You can also find good as well as goofy books (think Magic for dummies) at most any book stores.
