Personally I think someone who has been here since the beginning of time, could have shown a little more dedication by at least spending a year on the job. Perhaps if he was a little less concerned with getting to the day where everyone has to praise him for the whole 6 days he devoted to their creation, the job would have been performed to a higher standard. However his ego was his downfall and of course the fact he didn't realise in what order to create the earth. A sloppy job done by a god who really doesn't deserve the praise he demands, after all we all know self praise is no recommendation.

My personal opinion is yes six days was enough. I don't feel that God should get the blame for howthe world is. First of all it the people that makes the world go around. We have people in the world that make choose to do bad things and make bad decision after decision. There are so many corrupt people and things that are going on and this is what makes the world seem not so beautiful and unbearable for some.

The universe was "very good" when God created it but it is now less than very good because of mankind's rebellion against God and the creation being defiled because of our sin.

God exists outside of time and space. How long He actually worked on creating this world is not entirely clear because there are several different ways to interpret Genesis chapter One. If you want to consider some of the ways that the first book of the Bible can be understood then check out this link that examines 7 different ways that people have used to try and understand what this chapter teaches.

What does Genesis 1 really teach?

The debate between Christianity and science concerns not just the scientific facts, but how they fit in with the teaching of the Bible, particularly with Genesis 1. So let's explore that.

I am aware of seven different ways in which Genesis 1 is interpreted. They are not all mutually exclusive, though most are. There are variations on some of these interpretations which I won't go into. However, as this is so crucial to the debate I think it is important to mention them all....

If you read the first book of the bible you will see that God made the world perfect, there was no death nor suffering. But man kind and Satan sinned and this brought a curse upon creation. Because they brought sin into GOds creation God had to turn from it. God cannot be in the presence of sin so to speak. So it is not the fault of God or a lack in his efforts. it is the fault of man, we sin and the world as a whole suffers because of it. that is why God sent Jesus so that God himself would pay the price of suffering that the world is in. And through that those who wish to take the free gift can one day be back with GOd in the new heaven and earth. Gods perfect creation.

God created the Earth over billions of Gregorian years. The six days are not literal. He made the world perfect, but we are destroying it and each other.

I think that besides coloring the elephants all the shades of the rainbow, God made everything plenty beautiful and perfect. We just have to try to keep it that way.

Within your question is the presumption that God has made the world as you now see it. Nothing could be farther from the truth. When god made this world, everything was good. He himself pronounced it good. Its present condition is a consequence of Man's sin.

Don't stress, He's taking a long time to put it back to the way He intended it. When Jesus comes back it will be a new world, perfect again.
