I was raised as a Jehovah's Witness. I hate that and all it stands for, but. I am a human, like yourselves, looking for a deeper meaning. Can you hang with that? Or do you need some holier than thou stuff. Here I am. I am just me. I don't offer any excuses for that. If your god made me, then I am here for a purpose.

Here I am. I am just me.
That's a great 'pick up line'.

I would be more than ok with that.
No one should ever stop looking/seeking until they are complete (within) with the answers they find.

EDIT: Moon...I did. My thumbs up don't count?? lol (((moon)))

I guess you could call me a fundy. I am a Protestant Christian, if that qualifies. I don't agree with much of all that is taught in the JH religeon. I suppose what's important to say is that I love Jesus with all my heart, and feel very thankful for all that he has done for me. I am far from perfect, but I really want to live and learn to walk in His ways. I fall short daily, yet He continues to help me and to provide me comfort when I have rough times, which, wow, you wouldn't believe what all I am dealing with right now.

I can relate to so much of what you say. I am human and I think we all have a need for a deeper meaning. Without Christ, I have felt so empty. I am definitely not holier than thou. If you could only know some of the terrible things I have done. Beyond belief, I promise. Most people would say that the things I've done are unforgivable. Yet like you, I know that God made us for a purpose. I spend a lot of time in prayer and reading the Bible, and I believe that helps me daily in finding my purpose.

I'm not saying that every day with Christ is perfect and sunshiny - no, like everyone, I have tough days and tough times, and things happen to me and others that I don't understand. But I know that He is there for me, and sometimes I am amazed by how much of a difference He makes in my life. He is literally my sanity.

I don't know if this helps you or not. I am just trying to share my experiences with Christ and how He has helped someone who has probably been guilty of just about every sin in the Book, except for maybe murder.

If there is anything I can do, let me know. I will remember you in my prayers tonight that you can find peace and the deeper meaning for which you are searching.

No, I'm not fundie (Lol... I've never had to say that before ... feels sort of strange actually).

If you are looking for deeper meaning and as part of that you believe that there is a god that made you.... well, it sure seems to me that you are a little further to the right of the middle ground... just my thoughts mind you.

First of all I am responing as a Christian not a fundie, I am a follower of Christ and not a denomination.
If what you mean by 'middle ground' is in your relationship to God, there is none...either you believe or you don't. He will not bring into heaven any fence sitters. Rev. 3:16
If you mean 'middle ground' as in denominations...I don't even want to go there.
But, if what you're looking for is someone who is preaching directly from the Bible with no fluff and no judging and someone who is not trying to convert you then I suggest you go to www.drgenescott.com and listen to the teaching...the live Sunday Service is 11am (LA Time zone) with Pastor Melissa Scott. The preaching never suggests they are better that others, that they are 'being saved by grace through faith' just like the rest of us, and that salvation is a process, and that God works on individuals...we are not carbon copies of some preacher in a white (self-righteous) suit . God will work with you and He will make the changes He wants to make...not what someone else has decided needs to be changed

I can neither condemn you nor save you. No one comes to the Father unless the Father draws them. The Father is Love and the Father is within you. I'd never consider judging you for to do so is to judge myself because you are a part of me just as much as you are a part of God. Whether you ever see it or not is your concern. For myself I'm happier knowing God as I do but all I can work with is myself. Even if I could compel you somehow to accept what you find unacceptable why would I, Christ himself doesn't. I don't think it makes a difference what you call God either so long as you Love. To be part of God all you need is love. Love is God and Love creates miracles by compassion.

What I can do is love you but that's something you don't have to ask for and I expect no payment for, not even your attention.

I suppose some would call me a fundie, but like you, I'm just me, trying to walk out and fulfill my purpose in this life. I love God and Jesus is my Saviour. I don't offer any excuses for that, but I don't demand that you agree with me. Can you hang with that? I've seen some of your answers on here, and I think we'd get along just fine. Friends? :))

Yes.
I know what you feel like. I once walked away from God because of all that was wrong in our church and the Christianity I knew. Without God though, my life became devoid of all meaning. I felt completely empty.
I found life without God unbearable and one day I called out to Him and asked Him back into my life.
I am glad I did.
God bless you my friend.

I hope there's middle ground, cuz that's where I live...or maybe that's middle earth...no really, lots of middle ground, lots of shades of grey, and plenty of good, loving, kind, earnest people in the middle with you:)

i can hang with that...the only people who aren't looking for a deeper meaning are those who believe they have already found it and those who don't believe there IS a deeper meaning...the former can be quite annoying when they insist that you MUST agree with them 100% or face eternal ruin, and the latter seem quite sad to me. that's just MY opinion, for what it may be worth. good luck with your search, btw

Wow....I didn't even know I was blocked.....

I think it is very important to be you as you approach God. If there are changes to be made, it will come from God to you and your heart will be open to receive
