If God is unchanging, the same from the begining of time to the end, why doesn't He send messengers anymore? He used to send angels and prophets all the time now nothing! Also how can you say He doesn't change when the OT is full of wrath and war and the NT is all peace and love? I am seriously doubting my faith!

No, God hasn't changed. If you look into the teachings of Christ, it's obvious that God still demands the same of us that He did in the Old Testament: That we follow Him. The difference is HOW we follow Him. We're no longer bound by Levitical laws, especially if we're Gentiles; we were never UNDER the laws.

Jesus is mankind's last chance. If we don't follow Him, God's wrath WILL pour out. This much is obvious from Revelations.

As for why there aren't messengers anymore, what need would there be of them? We have the Holy Spirit, we have the scriptures, we have the prophecies in Revelations. The Messiah is come, there's no need for more prophets...and there won't be, until the end. When people start prophesying again, the end will be soon to come. But we have to be wary, because Jesus said that there would be numerous FALSE prophets. And this much is obvious, when we look at L. Ron Hubbard, the Heaven's Gate Cult, Jim Jones...

Until the end comes, that's ALL we'll be having. There won't be any more prophets or messengers until then, unless they're false.

I hope this explains a bit. I'm still learning myself.

What if I told you that it is still happening? Prophets, dreams, visions and Angels, would you believe it?
Just a couple of weeks ago Jesus appeared to my husband in a dream. The problem is that most people and even Christians dismiss all that is supernatural and therefore never experience God the way they could.
When I wrote just now that Jesus had appeared to my husband in a dream, most people's reaction was probably "no way! That can't have been Jesus". The problem doesn't lie with God but rather with us believers.
So the answer is yes, God is still the same but the question is can you believe that? Sadly, most Christians can't. Like you they think that miracles were happening only during NT times and they reject every story or testimony that proves the opposite.
I think these people wouldn't believe that Angels still appear to people even if they saw one themselves.
As for the NT being only about peace and love, I don't think so. Read the book of revelation.

Both the Old Testament and New Testament have wrath and war and peace and love. It was loving of God not to destroy Adam and Eve when they ate the forbidden fruit. He provided a promise of redemption. When Jesus was crucified he drank every last drop of Gods wrath that was intended for us.

Angels and Prophets were a lot less common than you might thing from reading the Bible. There were sometimes hundreds of years between appearances and the appearances might last only a few moment to one or two people.

We are privileged to have the complete Bible available to us to read whenever we so desire.

there can only be one God and that could not change. But God is a strategic planner. He should be flexible in his decisions especially nowadays where technology makes the world. God sends angel in ancient times because people, that time, would not believe on God unless they see one. And its the way of could to write history for the benefit of the mankind living today. Didn't you observe, we have now the media which is the major way of God on promoting peace and love. Churches were now all scattered to preach man about the loving God and His Son, Jesus. This is all product of the different event having done on past.
Moreover indeed, many were called but only few were chosen. And you, my brother, were among the called ones thats why your facing faith-obstacle. Don't be bother on the things of now and past. Treasure what you have now and value it for the future.

He sends messengers all the time - you just cannot hear them because you are being blinded by Satan who seeks to destroy you.

The difference between the OT and NT is the coming of Jesus. However, the NT is not all love and peace.

Come closer to the Lord my friend, or you will go astray and find it difficult to come back. Start spending more time in His presence. Plead yourself under the blood of Jesus every day and night. Make God Lord of your life in all you do. When you draw close to Him, you will get to know Him.

If you are doubting your faith then you are not a true believer. God changes when he needs to. When and where he sends messangers or if he needs them requires patience we all have to wait. If he does not send any does not matter. What matters is the faith you give God no matter what. Its the belief in Him that he wants from us thats why he loves us. Keep believing and God will Prevail.

god is unchanging, but people change, so god has to speak to us the way we will understand. the god of old & new testament act differently also because in the old testament, that is the way God could communicate with the isrealite. that is the short version of thing. that questions is a huge question that takes a lot of research not only of God's character but the trinity

When you overhaul an engine you don't spend all of your time on the carburetor. When you eat a meal you do not continually eat peas and ignore the meat and potatoes. When you care for your child it is not all singing lullabys.
You do much more than the simple parts of a task, but you are still you.

God is not changing. I think is the people who is changing. The people have failed to follow the ways of God. The people seem to love the earthly things than love and serve him, probably, faithfully as well, as written in the bible.
