Fortunately i did not drop out of school before I learned some Physics, so i do have some explanation for you:
1. If thought can affect matter at a distance (and that has been accepted in physics for many years), and emotional emanations from a person can be measured and read from the electrical fields they emit (we are bio-electric you know - and there are instruments that actually do this) then I have no doubt at all that focused intention has some effect on the world around me. Prayer, whether you believe in god or not, if focused intent.
2. See placebo effect above.
3. Self suggestion is recommended by many psychologists, as is visualization of desired outcomes. It has been found that people who tell themselves positive things, or envision positive things, experience more positive things... Ask your atheist psychologists whether these things are effective, and if not, why they recommend them.
In summary:
Everybody knows that some kinds of prayer works for some things.
Everybody prays.
People who do not believe in god call prayers something that will not embarrass them.

Prayer is a placebo..
A subject given a placebo feels an effect even though the placebo contains nothing to cause an effect. They simply believe there will be an effect and their brain tells them there was an effect..
Pray works the same way when someone truly believes prayer works their brain gives them the appropriate feedback reinforcing their belief in prayer and that it works..
Therefore as stated before prayer is a placebo..

Believe me...prayer IS real...no "coincidence" can explain the vast amount of prayers answered for me or for many others I know...
Your heart has to be sincere, love God and Jesus, have the Holy Spirit, believe and have faith that what the Bible says is what is Truth....
To not have any of the above, is like not having the pre-requisite courses needed to take any of the more advanced classes in College...
I pray someday you will see this for yourself someday :)

You cant request or tell God what to do. He is all wise and all power full. There is nothing superior to His Will. Prayers are answered when they match the Will of God. Or you can call it a coincidence

Prayer is real. if you do it you will feel God in you. I never dropped out of school. I went on and did my hsc. Dropping out of school and prayer has nothing in common. why would you want to know that. I wouldnt know.

of course prayer is real - real people actually do pray. it's the alleged results of prayer (unrelated to the state of mind of the person praying) that are apparently no more than coincidence.
