I mean communicate like a clear voice, so don't answer that he does communicate but we need to listen, or he communicates through answering prayers. Wouldn't it be simpler if we could have a two way conversation with him instead of silence when we pray. It is so one sided.

Firefly - and Bush and Blair. But if Gods voice was clear and obvious there would be no need for the confusion of serial killers and schizophrenics

yogeshwar - Is one of us a servant to another because we are having a two way conversation. Anyhow God is beyond time and can be everywhere at once so its not as though he doesn't have time to talk and has to be off

You speak as though God were in debt to you.

As though He were your servant.

Does the Queen communicate with you? Does she seek you out so that you may know her?

Do you love your Creator?

Are you grateful for His immense blessings?

Do you worship Him?

Are you His loyal subject?

Of course, if you are at war with Him that may explain why there is no communication.

But wait. He has communicated with you.

In very clear and unmistakeable terms.

He has given you The Bible, His most holy, precious and certain word.

And what have you done with it?

We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

If you follow the Christian religion, which admittedly has merged a lot of earlier beliefs to pacify the populous at various times and integrated communities and nations to the Church, you should appreciate that he does not communicate, on purpose. He, and I am not going to give quotes because out of context they can be made to mean different things, even said He would not interfere with Mankind until He returns. Any supposed contact with anything supernatural is actually with the deceiver, Lucifer and his minions.

People should seek the truth and have faith and follow His instructions (difficult since the truth and His instructions have be corrupted & hidden by people, religious and political leaders)

He is not cruel. What we perceive as cruel, death due to weather, war, disease etc etc is nothing. Its nasty for us now of course, but, the prophecies state that it will all be wiped clean.

The world is in its condition because Lucifer rebelled and challenged Yaweh (remember God is a Title). Lucifer maintained that Man didn't need Yaweh. That Man could rule himself.

I think we can all agree that we don't really do a very good job of ruling ourselves. Interesting that.

Yaweh clearly has a reason for Mankind. A purpose which we do not know, recognise or understand. Afterall, if you make a table you have a purpose for that table.

As to reality, not existing, in the mind, myth. My view is simple, everything, us, the planet, the whole universe, time, mental perception is manufactured.

Yaweh exists outside of our perception in an environment we cannot conceive. We exist in a type of snowglobe, a created physical, material environment, made by Yaweh. Eternity and the understanding of eternity is a pointless exercise since Time is created specifically for us, to anchor us. Erase the concept of Time, which we can't, and you might appreciate that eternity has no meaning.

He will communicate when He is ready, and we will bear witness, (no, I am not) to the end result of the challenge.

Until then, do the best you can and try not to follow Lucifer and not fall for his deceptions.

Lastly, not believing in Yaweh is a choice. If you are wrong you are going to feel pretty stupid when He arrives. Choose to believe and it might save your existence but you lose nothing if you are wrong. If that makes sense.

God does not communicate YET. He will and when He does you will be in no doubt.

God does communicate with people. He communicated with Moses, but indirectly and even today He does communicate through His Book. Now, it's upto us to read His books and see which ONE can answer. His book has answers to every question you can think of and this is one of the miracles which can show you the truth. All you need to do is think of a question and start reading the Book; You WILL find the answer.

God is extremely kind and gentle..if he spoke in a voice to you you would probably crack up with mental problems, he wouldnt want to hurt you..
however the more you listen for Him the more clearly he will speak, show you what you need to understand.

you can ask him anything..if you are capable of understanding the answer it will come.

Remember not to ask daft questions, and show due respect. good luck

God, for His own reasons, requires faith from His children, and rewards those who have faith in Him. If He spoke to us in "a clear voice", we would no longer need faith, would we?There is a huge difference between faith and knowledge.

Besides, if He spoke to all of us, this would violate our free will to believe in Him or not. People hearing Him speak would know that He exists and there would be no choice as to whether to believe that He exists or not.

[6:7] Even if we sent down to them a physical book, written on paper, and they touched it with their hands, those who disbelieved would have said, "This is no more than clever magic."

[6:8] They also said, "If only an angel could come down with him!" Had we sent an angel, the whole matter would have been terminated, and they would no longer be respited.

[6:9] Had we sent an angel, we would have sent him in the form of a man, and we would have kept them just as confused as they are confused now.
