I don't like to tell you I told you so but didn't I. Just felt it right from the start went with a mothers instinct, knew there was something not quiet right about these two, but I do feel gutted I just know its them. You don't leave your children in a house on their own no matter what, and why stay in portugal all this time tippical guilt, you go home to be with friends and family, and what the effect must be on the other children and these two parents doctors, it doesn't take an einstein to see this is not right, pity the general public are not such good einsteins and as for the Portugees police well what a shambles perhaps now they will get on with finding out where the parents put Maddie's body and let her rest in peace. and as a foot note thank goodness one paper had the guts to voice their oppinion, I have all along but no, no one wanted to know, just shows you go by your own instincts and not the majoriy.

I said on day one that they did it. I've also been telling anyone who will listen that they are compleatly to blaim EVEN IF the didn't actually kill Maddie themselves:

They went for a meal over half a mile away from (and out of sight of) the apartment they were staying in.

Despite the fact that the resort offered a free crèche, they left there 3 children in the apartment, with the door unlocked.

Madeline’s parents left thier children completely unattended in a foreign country hand yet have (until yesterday) been held above criticism, the general feeling being that they had "Suffered enough", indeed Gerry and Kate have been painted as the only victims of this crime, with bearly a thought for what Madeline must have gone through.

It is worth pointing out that Kate and Gerry are well paid and respected doctors - if Kate had been a single mom on welfare I have no doubt that her children would have been taken into care due to her neglect, instead they have been allowed to retain custody of thier remaining children (despite being the kind of parents who would leave them unattended for hours at a time).

I would never go to another country and leaves my babies alone like that!! Or even at home or anywhere!!!Something is wrong with the whole thing. I feel so sorry there babies and children with parents like that. Honestly everyone has an oppinion and mine are of many and I remain open mined on this . Just to say one opinion is there may have been a kidnapping a threat to the parents involved, but like I said that is one opinion of many.Still my top answer is these parents did not even leave the babies with someone they know .

My wife and I have always felt things did not add up, simply because the parents did not seem to act like parents. More like aliens, or people behaving in reaction to something else as opposed to their daughter's abduction.

The public gets what the public wants and in a country that seems to be dominated by Big Brother and so on I won't be surprised if the masses want us to go to war with Portugal over their insulting of these fine, fine, blameless parents.

Yes you are right to a certain extent but it could still be someone else. although in most child abduction/murder cases it is someone the child knows. Lets just let the police continue their difficult job. If it does turn out to be one or both of them involved then they will get their just deserts, but spear a thought for the poor twins who now not only have lost their big sister but face loseing their parents to.

Well said.
I was saying why is everyone slating gerry and not kate...\I always thought she was the dodgy one.
It was her car the blood was found in,her keys the dogs smelt the dead body on...now they are suspects...isnt the blood and sniffer dogs evidence enough?I do think she is guilty and it was a fatal accident but gerry gave her all the ways to cover it up...telling her what to do and say.
Theyre both guilty in my eyes.
Poor maddie I was hoping this case would have a positive outcome for her but unfortunatley not...so i just hope justice is done for her if noone else.

xx

Yeah, i have to say me and my partner where talking about it tonight. I can't understand why Maddie went missing but her sibling didn't though! The whole thing doesn't make sense!!

I have near two year old twins, and could never leave them alone for two seconds!!!

I hope and pray they find her!! safe and sound!

I never liked the mccans but i always believe them guilty of gross neglect, because to beleive that they were in any responsbilties for actually hurting her was too heartbreaking to bare.
and as of now all that has happened is that they have both been made suspects nothing is really known yet and sadly we may never know the truth

They have always seemed too calm for my liking. If it was my son missing I would be frantic with grief, not keeping a bloody diary on the Internet and visiting the pope! I, like you, have had my suspicions from the start of this.

You are so correct.
I was also one of the people, who from the start thought things did not add up.
The parents acted very strange and I did not like them since the first day I saw them

It's easy to criticise the Portugese Police but don't forget the British Police still haven't found the killer of Rhys Jones.
