You broke up with someone, and the reason was a mistake. Not trusting is a big issue in a relationship.
If you made the decision confused?
You reacted without thinking. Breaking up is something major!
I think it's time to get a grip on your insecurities/jealous behavior, if you don't...this will keep happening in all your relationships.
I wish you the best of luck on this journey in life.
Life is short, don't waste it.

Why is it a mistake now? Because the other person one of you had in mind turned you down? That's what I would feel like if I was on the opposite end of this question.
Mistakes are reasons!

It's 1am here and I've been up all day wondering the same thing. How do you know if its a mistake? Or what if the reason were because of the emotional abuse that's breaking you do so low you just want to crawl into a hole and die...wait, that's my story, sorry...
I guess I'm the wrong person to answer this for you, I'm sorry

Some decisions are irrevocable, that's why we need to make them carefully. For example, if you broke up with a terrific girl ,realized you'd made a mistake, and tried to get her back she'd probably opt to leave things like they are because she'd be thinking you hurt her frivilously and unnecessarily and nothing would prevent you from doing it again (and she'd be right). You can't unring a bell. Confusion is normal and quite human, but no one else is obligated to ride that wave with us as we navigate our confusion, so don't expect them to.
