I know that some things are priceless. I guess a star on Y/A is validation for parking my butt on the internet. But, I could be wrong, after all, I am just me. I have one hundred stars a day to give, so I give them freely, sorry contacts, but why not validate everyone's cyber-existence with a star?

Gee, when I first read your post I thought you meant a star in the universe, and I was about to answer: Not all that much anymore because they're all made in China now. But I starred you and everybody else anyway. It's just the way I am, I guess.

How much does a smile cost? A 2-second pause to let one person go in front of you in traffic? I am searching all the time for validation or privacy, depending on my mood. Do you love me? Perhaps not. But maybe someone else will and some small love or just courtesy and optimism can keep me alive. I'll do it for you.

Here's a star for making me laugh on a Friday, twice.
This is hard I am dreadful on Fridays, I work 12 hour shifts (7am-7pm) on Sat and Sun. In a nursing home. Short staffed and underpaid.
Thanks for the giggle fit. I really need it.

I star a question because my contacts may want to see it too. Let's admit, there are not too many thought-inspiring, non-biassed, non-angry questions around. And if that provideds validation - good !

Are we talking about the purchase price of a star or the costs to run it also? Don't forget upkeep. Lots of stardust. heehee
