When once a person has introduced sex into a relationship, it takes the chemical and biological past of those two and combines them. Particularly risky for women who will likely catch anything that a man has. It then becomes the definition of ultimate connection between them. This means that the likelihood of a pregnancy is exceedingly high.
If you are going to take a relationship to this level, it should be done only once, to protect the one you profess to love. and this means a total commitment, or Marriage. This bonds and facilitates the primary requirements of a healthy family..IE: a mother and an father. It is unfair to children to raise them without a matched set of parents.
Sadly, Sex is usually about kids getting off. and has little or nothing to do with love. It is irresponsible and reprehensible.
This is why GOD said it was wrong. It hurts someone, and misses the mark of what he had planned for us.

I believe it is sinful to have premarital sex; however I do not think it is a "dirty" thing. The reason it is a sin is because you are not sure you want to spend rest of your life with that person until you are married. Not til marriage are you ready to engage in sex because this is when you are ready to start a family between a man and a woman.

I must add, that there is no such thing as a greater sin. Everyone sins, but you should definately live your life to the fullest and try to embody our saviour, Jesus Christ.

Before marriage - is called fornication. This word is used in the KJV but in other Bibles is called immorality: I quote 1 Corinthians 6:18; '... flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body'. This sin invites in evil powers and is usually associated with lust.

didn't you ever watch Jerry Springer? He has a ton of guests who have all kinds of relations like you said and like NO ONE on his show is ever happy

there are some chemicals in your brain which help you bond to another person and they are not replenished... you will be less able to bond with your spouse if you use them on flings

there are also other problems.... going beyond the disease risks... by focusing too early on the physical you do not get to be intimate emotionally... there is no long term security... this is tougher on girls than on guys... and lets consider the possible babies... an innocent life as a side effect of a 'casual fling' should not get a death sentence because it is inconvenient... no?... else the girlfriend and boyfriend will have to live with a measure of regret

bottom line when God made Adam and Eve as the first couple the world was VERY GOOD. THey were one and a fling does not make a couple one. A lifetime comitment does.

Sexual relations are a gift from God, a gift that is to be enjoyed at the appropriate time—when one is married. How does God feel when we try to enjoy sex outside of marriage? Well, imagine that you have purchased a gift for a friend. Before you can give it to that friend, he or she steals it! Wouldn’t you be upset? Imagine, then, how God feels when a person engages in premarital sex, abusing the gift that God has provided.

It is also true that Jehovah God designed sexual relations to be pleasurable. This was in harmony with his original purpose for humans to populate the earth. (Genesis 1:28) Nevertheless, God never intended for us to misuse our procreative powers. “Each one of you should know how to get possession of his own vessel in sanctification and honor,” says the Bible. (1 Thessalonians 4:4) To act upon every sexual desire would be, in a sense, as foolish as hitting someone each time you felt anger.

Sin is for Xtians. There is nothing wrong with two people expressing their love for one another. It is sad that anyone would try to stop this, or hinder it. Besides why would you even consider letting someone else ruin how you feel with negativities?

Because, God made sex to be between a man and a woman who are married.....and he did this for a reason...think about it, what if you all dont stay together, and he or she marries someone else? that means you've slept with another person's spouse, truthfully. If you love someone that much and are willing to give that much to them, then you should go ahead and give them your all by marrying them. Not what you wanted to hear, I'm sure...just giving you an honest answer. No offense intended.

Probably because they are presuming to do something you should only do if committed to each other. Just look at the disaster that has become of sexual immorality and tell me there are no consequences.

But irregardless of any percieved consequences, we should be willing to take God at his word and have the faith to respond.

Sex is natural, so nothing sinful about it.

What is sinful is getting pregnant at 16 while there is so much birth control available.

It's sinful to be so stupid and careless.
If you want to have sex - then make a quick stop by Planned Parenthood or the Pharmacy.
