Sure, the majority of people in Islamic countries believe Allah is the one true god, therefore, it must be...Oh wait, circular logic.

The past: The majority of people believed the earth was flat. Some of them were religious, but most were not. They were all wrong.
So obviously going with the majority is not always a wise thing to do.
The present: Everybody is doing it, so it must be alright. Nothing has changed.
Following truth can get you killed when the majority follows a lie.

No. Look at Jonestown. 914 people committed suicide because of their beliefs does this make what they believed true? Should we all now go out and commit suicide? Another thing to think about is people in general do not like confrontation. They rather say that they agree with the majority than to say that they don't. How many people in the majority actually believe what is being said and how many are just going along with the masses in order not face confrontation

You can tell the same lie a thousand times, but it doesn't make it anymore true. It does make it even more hilarious (yet disgusting and somewhat frightening) when the majority believes in that lie.

Of course not. The vast majority believed that the sun moves around the earth, until Galileo, Kepler, and Copernicus showed that it doesn't. (There was one ancient who got it right -- a chap named Aristarchus.)

Absolutely not. In fact, the opposite is often true in our society. We have a hard time distinguishing the truth from lies, from illusion and from fairy tales.

No. Nor is something held to be false by a majority necessarily false.

Mapmakers used to put on the edges of their maps: "There be monsters here." when they didn't know the land beyond the map. People have great imaginations.
