It sounds like you have carpal tunnel. I had this and your hand goes numb, where you can't feel anything, and there is also tingling. I also had the arthritis along with it. You get this from doing repetitive movements with your hands, such as working on a computer for too long, or other jobs that involve your hands. It's best you go to your primary doctor first, and then he'll recommend a specialty doctor for you. I ended up going to a Hand and Extremity Center to get help. Then I ended up getting surgery. I had it in both hands, and some days it can be very painful. Hope this helps.

It woud be important to know which fingers are involved. If the numbness is in the little finger and half of the fourth finger plus the palm on the opposite side of the thumb, you could have ulnar nerve compression. The ulnar nerve is relatively unprotected at the elbow, and you might be putting pressure on it during sleep or other activities.

Sounds like you have carpol tunnel,. It is a problem that affects the hands when you use them a lot with jobs that require you to be on the computer a lot or any other job that requires repeated movements of your hands. Go to the Dr. and get this checked you may have to have surgery to have this corrected.
