Yea, the conservation dept started reintroducing them back here a few years ago. I believe it was last year i seen one that got hit by a car laying on the side of the road down by Lake of the Ozarks.

Plenty here in the desert Southwest. They are some big tough hombres compared to the desert white tails, bucks are 300 lbs and bigger, does 200. Not easy to confuse, especially with the black tails. Taken them in west Texas, throughout New Mexico and the panhandle. .30-06 or .308, I wouldn't recommend the less than .30 cal for these.

I doubt there is any in Illinois. Lots of white tails but no muleys to my knowledge. I hunt just inside Illinois from Hannibal, Missouri.

Here more and more about mountain cats in the area I hunt. I understand there have been sightings. There are caves where we hunt so hope a cat isn't looking at me the way I am looking at a deer.

I live in Michigan & tho I can tbe sure there are no mule deer here I have never seen one...A LOT of white tales but no mules that Ive seen at least that I can remember

JAJ, we got em north,south & west of Spokane Washington. Both desert & high country Mulies. Have you been spotting any BIG bucks?
