What do you think about this article?

"Followers of Jesus

Suppose that someone observed Jesus two-thousand years ago, and he left this planet, or he went to sleep for two-thousand years and returned today to look for the followers of Jesus, who would he find? Who would he recognise? Christians? Let's conclude with just this food for thought: the Bible says very clearly that Jesus used to fast. Do Christians fast? Muslims fast; it is obligatory one month every year. The Bible says that Jesus prayed by touching his forehead to the ground. Do Christians pray in this manner? Muslims do. It is characteristic of their prayer and no one on earth is probably ignorant of that fact.

According to Jesus, he told his disciples to greet one another with the expression, "Peace be with you." Do the Christians do that? Muslims do, universally, whether they speak Arabic or not. The greeting for one to another is Assalamu'alaikum (peace be with you).

The brother of Jesus in the Book of James, stated that no man should suggest what he is about to do or highlight his plans for the next few days in anyway without adding the phrase "if God wills." Do not say "I will go here and there, do this and that" without adding the phrase "if God wills." Do Christians do that? Muslims do, whether they speak Arabic or not. If they so much as suggest they are going downtown to pick up some groceries, they will add, Insha-Allah, which in Arabic means, "If God wills."

There are also some references in the Gospels which seem to refer to the coming of Prophet Muhammad—may God’s peace and blessings be on all the prophets. In the Gospel according to John 14:16, Jesus is quoted as saying, “And I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Counselor,to be with you for ever.”

Christian laymen usually interpret the “Counselor” mentioned in John 14:16 as the Holy Spirit.However, the phrase “another Counselor” implies that it will be someone else like Jesus and not the Holy Spirit,especially considering John 16:7, in which Jesus is reported to have said, “Nevertheless I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.” The term “Counselor” could not be referring to the Holy Spirit here, because—according to the Gospels—the Holy Spirit was already present in the world prior to Jesus’ birth,as well as during his ministry.This verse implies that the “Counselor” had not already come.

Jesus’ declaration that the prophet-counselor “will be with you forever,” could be interpreted to mean that there would be no need for additional prophets to succeed this Counselor. He would be the last of the Prophets of God, whose message would be preserved until the end of the world.

Jesus’ foretelling the coming of Muhammad— may God’s peace be upon both of them—confirmed the prophesies about Prophet Muhammad (e) in the Torah. In Deuteronomy 18:18 & 19, it is written that the Lord said to Moses, “I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brethren; and I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him. And whoever will not give heed to my words which he shall speak in my name, I myself will require it of him.” In Isaiah 42, Isaiah prophesies about a chosen “Servant of the Lord” whose prophetic mission would be to all mankind, unlike the Hebrew prophets whose missions were limited to Israel. “Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights; I have put my Spirit upon him, he will bring forth justice to the nations... He will not fail or be discouraged till he has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands wait for his law...Let the desert and its cities lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar inhabits.” This particular servant of the Lord is the only one identified with Kedar, the Arabs."

I am a Christian. Yep! and I believe in Santa Claus too. I know of Muslims in other countries and I have talked to natives of Muslims countries, there is an underground culture in those countries of men and some women doing those things like drinking alcohol and eating bacon. You know that was one of the purposes of the Taliban, to enforce Muslim laws. You are right that Christians do not do circumcision. That was a command to the Israelites and never commanded to the Christians. Also, Christian nor the Israelites women were never commanded to wear veils. Veils were a problem for Muslim men.

You are confused. Ever try to convince someone of that? All that can be done is relay that information to you and allow you to process it yourself. There is very little hope of you discovering truth unless God is willing to give you that understanding.
Christians can talk to you until they are blue in the face. If you will not listen, you will not listen. Hopefully you will come to a realization that the method you employed to be led to Islam is still an alternative for you to use. Ask questions. Seek answers. Ask them of every source and seek in every corner you can find, for nothing is more important than the fate of your soul.
When man fell from the grace of God in the garden, an angel was assigned to prevent man from re-entering. Man saw God and himself through a veil. He saw outlines and shadows. God even dwelled among men behind a veil in the temple, where none were to enter. Men were appointed to witness of God to the masses. Today that veil exists for all who do not possess the heart to search for Him, but only in their own hearts. He is not hard to find.
That veil has been torn from top to bottom. No longer is God hidden. All you have to do is look and you will see. Is your soul not worth that effort? Does any mortal man have the right to stand between you and the creator of your soul, fooling you into thinking that veil still exists?
Put away thoughts of the things you do not understand. Those things become so readily apparent when you are finally reunited with Him. It is not necessary to have a full and undeniable understanding of all things pertaining to Him. The desire to have that understanding as a nonbeliever is the very thing that separates you from Him......you will be as gods.
This is not the place to make as the source of your information. Here is a mixture of the mature as well as children. Here are the wise as well as fools. Here are believers as well as nonbelievers. Read for yourself what was written and read all of it. Don't stop at what others say is the complete story.
The "Savior Theory" is not a theory. Jesus spoke of it himself as truth and as his very reason for being. If what you have been reading does not bear witness to this, you need to be reading more than what man is allowing to be read.

the answer is both. muslims take him as the third most important prophet. 1. Muhammad 2. Abraham 3. Jesus but they think differently of him. Jesus said he is son of god.a saviour, muslims believe he is son of no one. a prophet who is the grandchild of 1 prophet and a nephew of another. Christians believes he went to heaven. Muslims believe he is not dead yet. he will return to earth during the end of the earth.

You need to read the whole story of Matthew chapter 7 verse 21, never pick a single verse on the Bible then let the whole world know that you know who GOD is. A swallow water creates more sound compared to to the deep ocean. In Koran you also can find verse saying " And the eagle will cleanse the land of Allah. So muslim have an idea who the eagle represents. For ' gurl " - Clearly it was said that no other prophet will follow after Jesus. If there wold be he shall be an anti-Christ and the false one. first of all Jesus is not the son of god . He is a prophet from God . the Quran respects Jesus cuz hes one of Gods prophets just like Moses , David, Abraham, Mohemmad, and Aaron. the Quran mentioned Mary that she was a virgin , God did that cuz to show people his powers. Muslims believe in Jesus as a prophet not the son of god . It says in the Quran [Say "He is Allah the one, Allah the self - sufficient master, He does not give birth ,nor was He born, And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him]

You completely went astray. It is the case where only God can help. Try not to judge others and to keep the commandments of Jesus yourself. In this way you can understand more.

The bible say something about the true Follower of Christ and about Christ;
Colossians 1:15-17"Jesus is the image of the invisible God, THE FIRST CREATION"..... contenue to read it in your bible pls.
John 13:34,35"I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another........
35"by this all will know that you are my disciple if you love one another." True Christian treat one another as brothers and sister(1 John 4:20,21) and they do not share in wars, or any political affairs, as sharing such things doesnt show love for your brothersJohn 17:16, James 1:27 ; 4:4
John 14:15 'shows that true Christian keep gods commandment', so they do not preach one thing and practice another.(James 2:26)

Luke 8:1" when Jesus was here on earth with his apostle went city to city, village to village, preaching and declaring the good news of the kingdom o f God."as his followers we have to do thesame pls. read Matthew 24:14 ; 28:19,20.

And true Christian should honor Gods name;
John 17:6 - Jesus in his prayer said "I have made your name manifest to the men you gave me out to the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have observe your word". so Jesus Make the name of his Father known to the people and we should do thesame Psalm 83:18"and the people may know, that you Whose name is Jehovah, You alone the most high over all the earth.

So, do you know such people in your place? who do not share in wars and do not get involve in the worlds political affairs?Who are zealous preaching the kingdom of God and And tells everybody about Gods name Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) and who stricly follow...and deeply study Gods word the "Bible". I do!
Jehovahs Witnesses lot of our brothers being in prison and even being killed for not breaking Gods law for not sharing in wars and going door to door preaching God Kingdom that will solve all of our problems in life.AND THE BIBLE URGES US;
Matthew 7:15"to keep in the watch for the false prophet that come... in sheep covering, but inside they are nervous wolves". the bible teach us how to be wacthful and know the truth between the false.

Tricky Question as Tigeress Said.

To find who are true followers of Jesus you need to findout the orginal text they believe in.

In Chirstanity Love For prophet superpassed and they started asking from Jesus who never Claimed to be God not even good!

The Bible's New Testament also records Jesus saying: ""Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good–except God alone." (From the NIV Bible, Mark 10:18)"

If Jesus doesn't consider himself as "good", then how can any sane person put him on the same level as GOD Almighty?

The Question here is whether or not Christian missionaries (whom are generally knowledgeable of the Bible) contradict Jesus.

For this to be True, than the Bible must make statements which specifically declare Christian missionary work is forbidden, a sin, and would go against other commandments in the Bible.
"Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia" (Acts 16:6)
Clearly Jesus forbid preaching outside Israel and the Holy Spirit also forbid preaching to non-Israeli land such as Asia.

The Fact Is he was Prophet only for the son of the israel & not for the world.

The ministry of Jesus as a prophet was confined to Israel alone as is clear from his answer to a woman of Canaan when she sought blessings for her daughter:
"But he answered and said, I am sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." [Matthew 15:24]
Even when she asked for help and begged, she was told:
"It is not meet to take the children's bread and to cast it to dogs." [Matthew 15:26]
This is how Jesus clearly directed his disciples when he sent them for preaching:
"These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." (Matthew 10:5-6);
This is why early Christians were preaching only to the Jews:
"Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen traveled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only." [Acts 11:19].

"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. (From the NIV Bible, Deuteronomy 6:4)"

Now as far as Islam & muslims are concern they believe that All Prophet jesus, Moses, solomon, abraham taught same thing that God is One not many not even in the least way.

"Say: He is God, the One and Only; God, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him. (The Noble Quran, 112:1-4)"

muslims say they are followers of Mohammed PBUH because he is last messenger of God and God Revealed his Message via him. But if muslim fulfill all the requirements to be a Muslim not by name but by character, I have No Regard that, that person is on the right path which was followed by all prophets from Adam Till Mohammed.

This question will put a lot of people in a state of torpor!

In "Truth" the people that follow the early Islamic traditions are closer to being the followers of Jesus (PBUH).
I say this not to find fault with any Christians, for the clergy are truly the ones that have withheld the "Truth", from their followers.

do Muslims acknowledge Jesus Christ as the son of God?
when muslims follow commandments, are those commandments from God? when Muslims fast, do they have Jesus in their minds? do Muslims even call Jesus master?
Muslims does their own stuffs without any intentions of following Jesus
Christians remain to be the followers of Jesus Christ... the question would appropriately now be.. whether they are TRUE followers or Not.?
