As my wife says, "no one can look up your nose"

You never have to stop trick or treating. Just wear a mask and people will assume your a kid.

It's easy to get to the front of a stage at a concert because people won't see you squeeze in or they might just let you in because they can see over you.

People usually have your back because they think short people need help..

You can get out of stuff like changing light bulbs.

If you have kids, their friends will think you're really cool.

If your a girl, it's good to be short because you'll never weigh more than your man.

You can still fit in the tube slides at the park.

Your less likely to break a bone if you fall.

If you're small enough to fit kids sizes you can save a lot of money on clothes and shoes. Adult clothes cost way more than kids clothes

oh yes, I used to be short and I liked it. I'm like 6"1 or 6"2 now.

good things about being short-

Don't hit your head on things.
Don't take up much space.
Can fit in small places.
Your not always in the way of other people's view.

What is short to you? If you are short and thin, you can buy clothes in the children department. If you are a girl/woman there is always someone to help you get stuff off the top shelf at the store. I'm 4'11 and I love it. Short rules.

I've always noticed that short people have a lot of character and charm! Don't get down about it:-) Tall people hate being tall, skinny people want to be plumper, fair-skinned people want to be more tan...... I guess everyone is insecure about their looks. The benefit of being short is that you are unique and different!!

Actually, there are two benefits of which most people are not even aware.

Tall people tend to have more problems with their joints as they age, and the problems tend to start at the bottom, and then work their way up on the load bearing joints: the ankles, knees, and hips. Starting at about four inches above the average height for your ethnic background, you are more likely to have problems. In the US, where I live, the average height for a woman is 5'4", and for a man 5'10". That means that starting at about 5'8" for the average American woman, and 6'2" for the average American man, your chances of joint problems start going up. I have a friend who is 6'7", and while he is very thin, he still weighs around 270 lbs., simply because of his height. Skeletons in tall people tend to be heavier, so even thin tall people often develop problems. They also tend to develop problems in their feet, since their feet bear weight, as well.

The other benefit is to your circulatory system. While people vary in height, the human heart is pretty standard in size. It takes a lot of energy for a normal human heart to just pump blood to all areas anyway, and the extra effort of keeping blood circulating in a taller body is hard on it. As we age, it becomes more and more difficult for our hearts to pump effectively anyway. Part of that is due to the fact that our blood naturally gets a bit thicker as we age. People who are tall tend to experience more circulatory problems as they age--it's hard for their hearts to keep blood flowing effectively down to their feet and to their hands.

Both of those problems are pretty much non-issues for shorter people, unless they are tremendously overweight. If they are very overweight, they can lose weight, and help reduce the stress on joints. A very tall person doesn't have that option. They are always going to be tall, and there's always the chance they will develop either or both of the problems I mentioned above.

My best friend look very similar--red hair, pale freckled skin...but she is tall and everyone says she's, "beautiful"

I am short and everyone says that i am "adorable".

We noticed it with people as well...it's like instinct for someone short to be as cute.

But there are benefits...shorter distance to fall? <3

well my uncle was short like 5'5" and went through world war 2
he came back a war hero and only a few survived from the original 101st airborne platoon he was in. He told me once that the Germans always just missed him shooting over his head.
and he could run faster than most taller dudes.
so being short saved him a few times.

good balance cause of low center of gravity, can fit into little spaces like a ninja (yeah ninjas go in through little spaces), make good running backs- slip through people, can pack more on a ship, theoretically less food consumption and cloth for clothing.
