Most likely just a cold. Take a deep breath mom..... It will be okay. Just monitor his fever, make sure he gets plenty of fluids, and call your doctor if he has a rectal temp. of 102 F. or greater as he could have febrile seizures if his temp gets to high.. Again babies get sick all the time, it is okay mom! ;-)

Have you looked inside his mouth lately? He may be getting new teeth, and those are all of the same symptoms that a child has when they are getting teeth. They get Rosy cheeks, run a fever, runny nose, etc. Sometimes Chicken pox starts out this way also. Try not to think the worst,.and do not borrow trouble, each day has enough of it's own. Pray about it and leave it in the Lord's hands until you can get him to a Doctor. My best to you and your baby.

my baby sister had the same symptons is ur baby have trouble eating like just not wanting 2. my sister had the fever runny nose and threw up a little we went to the doctor and she lokk in her throat and saw fluid and she had tonsiltits she got an antibotic and was better. and i no how hadr it is when a baby is sick and u dont no it is very scary because they cant tell u there symptons so if she gets very worse take him to the ER if he stays the same try to give him tylenol and some kide of throat spray if he is eating and a night liquid night quil so he can sleep and u can sleep urself.

First of all, sweating while being cold to the touch is a worrisome sign in an eight month old. It's not teething. I would want to rule out (or rule in!) pneumonia as soon as possible. Get him to an urgent care center now.

Keep the temps down and best is to ask the doctor. I dont think its the mosquitoes but there is a virus around lately and everyone is sick.

I don't know what he has but I'm sure he isn't comfortable. Call the doctor today...your child should be seen before Monday!

If you are able to take him to emergency or urgent care it might be wise. Babies seem to be either indestructible or terribly fragile.
