I studied to become a pastor and quit after one year because I lost my faith.

I have always been something of a fake. Drinking, womanizing, doing what's best for me, etc.

I've started cleaning up my act. Quit drinking cold turkey. Quit dating until I learn how to act like an adult male.

Now I feel the pull to God again.

Anyone felt that?

Well I did for about 2 years. I was married and my husband was severely abusive, emotional and physical, he had cheated on me with my sister, best friend, and others, When I left I sunk into a deep depression......God started drawing me back to him, he began to minister to my heart, and healed that wound that was so deep. My friend God loves you and if you were studying for the ministry then he needs you, there are people that only you can reach. I am praying for you sweet heart

Yes. I was a womanizer when I was very young, going to all the clubs, driving a corvette, you know all the important things.I even thought I had reached a milestone when I dated a former penthouse model. I was extremely superficial and was not really happy. I had left my religion because it didn't make a lick of sense to me. Thankfully, I wised up and did my own research and found a religion that made so much sense that I couldn't resist changing my ways and rebuilding my relationship with God. I have never ever regretted that decision. I can honestly say I love God with all my heart.

I wasn't brought up in any faith, I used to be atheist until having a experience with the Holy Ghost about twelve years ago, it wasn't suppose to happen, it was suppose to be impossible, I have been a firm believer ever since, I cannot walk away from my faith or my God or Jesus or the Holy Ghost. I cannot deny them, I cannot lose the faith knowing that there is a God and he is Holy, Holy, Holy, he is good and merciful, he is real without doubt.

Back in 2003, I went through a lot of hardships that I was ready and willing turn back. In the Bible, Jesus said that He will never leave us nor forsake us, that He will be with us unto the very end. I believe in my heart that at that time because I was so weak and did not care and God remembers His promises, He held me close, so I wouldn't let go.

A Christian walk is not chasing after a position or recognition.
The Lord said we would go through trials and tribulations and at times we wonder if he is still there.
The confidence we have He said he would never leave us or forsake us.

I went wayward for a while. God always has a way of reaching His people *if they want to be reached*. It took some really hard times to pull me back in, and now I'm back for good.

Yeah. Go with it. And since you're back in the swing of things, go Catholic.
