Your parents care about you...be thankful! Several children, especially teens go without the talk, mess up their lives (not all, I am saying some...actually the majority) by getting girls pregnant.
Your dreams and goals are out the window, and priorities change. So, listen to your parents, they want and mean the best for you. I know it seems otherwise, but they do. They also want to protect you from STDs.
Hopefully they are also talking to you about drugs and alcohol.

Yes as parents we give many of "the talks". Chances are your parents will continue to talk to you until you are married with kids just because they want you to know the information and try to help you make the right decision. Just listen and take in the information and atleast be happy you can talk to them about stuff like that because most kids don't get "the talk" and learn everything from other kids and at school then they don't feel comfy talking to their parents about anything.

Listen to them or at least pretend to listen to them out of politeness.Your feelings of awkwardness is a minor issue as compared to their concern for you and your own mannerism. Some day you would advise your kids to keep away from things, which given a chance you would like ti indulge even at that age. It's kind of human nature, nothing more.Have good time and keeping your folks on your side makes life a more FUN.

If you want to be treated as an adult, better act like one. Don't be too selfish and self centered. Be more understanding, respectfull and most of all have the sense of responsibility. Then you will see that they will talk to you as a man not like a boy.

I assume your talking about sex, and yeah your parents if they are good ones should have had this talk with you along time ago. But most don't assume their eight year old would be out having sex. I suppose they would be talking to you alot more now

Just by asking this question in this manner you give me an impression that you act like an 8 year old. Your parents must think you are not quite mature or j they are just being parents.
They care and want to make sure you "get it" , whatever it is.
