I am in Spanish and they say that the best thing that you can do is to listen, speak, read, write, and do flash cards. But the thing is everyone has a way that works out the best for them! So you should try all the study techniques that you find and see which one you improve off of the most! You will find the best study technique for you! It will fit you like a temperpedic mattress!

There's really no "easiest" way to learn another language. The more reading, writing, listening, speaking you do, the better you will get. This is especially true if you're just starting out. If you're serious about learning as fast as possible, do an immersion program where you study/live in a French speaking country... where you're forced to use French in order to survive.

The thing is, is that the french teachers teach proper french. On the other hand, there is a lot of french that is acceptable for our age group. I am also in 9th grade. Tell your teacher to teach you some ways to say certain phrases in a kid friendly form. Then watch FREE french podcasts on itunes.

My best study technique is this- find some French TV shows or movies and put on english subtitles. You can pick up on new phrases and soon start recognizing the things you have learned. Good luck studying! :)
