I know it's a bad pic but I caught it in Kemah Texas...and it made a croaking sound,kinda looked like a big tadpole with horns...

I think you might have caught a toadfish they are pretty common around rock and reefs.

I can't see the pic, I don't have a shutterfly account.
But from the sounds of it probably a hardhead catfish or Gafftop sail Catfish.
Could also be what we call a Dog fish, that Ive also heard others call them rock fish.
They look kinda like orange tadpoles and have a big mouth. Ugly yet kinda cool looking fish.

Can't see the pic, but catifish croak. Not sure about the horns, are you talking about the whiskers?

if it was caught in salt water could be a "croaker", they are small and fat and "croak". I cant see the pic.
