okay i have been with this girl for 2 months now and it's a crazy situation. she was recently seperated from her ex-husband when i met her (though i didn't know how recently until a month in). they have 3 kids together so she has to have some contact with him. while i have been with her he sends her texts sometimes telling her he's in love with her, other times perverted stuff. this of course bothers me but she says she can't do anything about it because they have kids so she can't just cut off contact. anyways the other night while i was at work apparently he called her and said that thier daughter was crying for her mom. she says she went over there and fell asleep. doesn't seem right to me. what should i do.

Yes stay away.

As far as her, she's lying. She still misses him or something that he provided otherwise she wouldn't sleep there and she would tell him to stop the texts unless they deal with the children, really.
How do i know this? When someone says they cant stop improper conduct it means they don't want to. It's been proven in my life several times over.

Leave her and don't look back she's not ready to move on.

It's tough to break up, especially when kids are involved. About all you can do is figure out what you want. And if this craziness isn't something you can take in stride then it will drive you nuts. She isn't ready to be exclusive yet so don't get your hopes up she is. She will be someday, but will you be sane when that happens. Just because we like someone doesn't mean we are meant to be together.

If she is telling the truth about "falling asleep" then you have to tell her that she needs to set up boundaries. She has to let her ex know that it is inappropriate for him to text her with inuendo and love messages. She can set boundaries and still have a good parental relationship with her ex. Good luck with the whole situation. Dating a person with kids is often hard.

Dating single moms is a problem in itself and a whole different story. Your immediate problem is her relationship with her ex. That's not good. Move on. Those two have too many problems for you to involve yourself in. Get a girlfriend who has no kids.

If you're having problems like this with someone you've only known for 2 months, get over it and move on. If you are experienced with women then you should know that it's just going to lead to trouble down the road.

She's not really free.. You really need to look for a girl who has no baggage and who is free to date you and not have an already family.. Look for single gals and stay away from separated, divorced or MARRIED. Life and dating has enough problems without that biggy involved.. Move on and be happy.. Good Luck..

What a mess.

I wouldn't get mixed up in this dynamic because they are not done with their relationship. I don't like being a crutch.
