There is insufficient proof to support the hypothesis of a god or gods.

There is a God. I know because I've felt close to "him" before, and if you ever have that kind of experience there is NO denying him. But it takes faith to believe in something so great and incomprehensible, people tend to want the "facts", but not everything can be explained. Obviously, there would HAVE to be a greater power than us, whether you belive that's "God", or not. For "existence" to have ever begun, there had to be something to start that, right? Which might then lead you to ask: Well if God created us, then what created him, and so on...That's where it takes faith, you're not going to get any facts about anything like that in this lifetime...It's as if there's a barrier between us and that kind of truth and understanding. It makes my head spin everytime I think about this issue--it's spinning right now. But I realize I cannot and will not understand anything like that during this lifetime, so I try to let it go. Also, another thing that is a good indicator that God is real, is the fact that, everyone at one point or another, seems to ask that question! And feels the need to be closer to something FAR greater than themselves, or anything really "known" to them...Anyway, I could go on forever, but I think I pretty much summed up my thoughts on the issue 8)

Good night, Sister.

I know because God keeps His promises. Jesus promised the Holy Spirit at the end of John 15 and in the midst of John 16. And the night I turned to Him He gave me a spiritual awakening that I never would have dreamed of. That's what I mean by 'knowing'. His Spirit is powerful and loving. There is completeness in Him. I don't have to wander about another religion being right, God convinced me that I was on the right one.

Yes, there is one God - I asked. Pray a prayer that only God can answer. If answered, give credit where credit is due. If you are still unconvinced, ask God to repeat the answer twice. Many places in the Bible people simply asked or wanted God to answer twice as proof. The problem is not in the questioning, but in accepting the answering. In the case of your own question, only God can answer you. My guess is that "what is up with God?" would be "Paradise Lost" as Milton so eloquently put it.

I do not have the capabilites to make you believe, this is not what other mortals are supposed to do. All I can tell you though is that I would be willing to look you in the eye and swear on my life that there is a God and he is the father of us all. I know this to be true because of metaphysical experiences I have had. Many go by faith, many do not know, many say no, but I have been shown.

The Heavens declare His works. The Miracle Of Child Birth. At no time does blood pass from mother to baby during the pregnancy. No doctor can explain this. It would be ashamed to believe ther was no God and spend an eternity being wrong and end up In hell. What do you have to lose ? Except hell ?

When you find yourself deeply troubled, huge problems in a marriage or something else that seems to have no relief or solution, cry out to Jesus.

Once you experience the sudden relief, when colors suddenly become bright again when life seems to be ok again after a huge turmoil, you will know it is God. You didn't do anything to set things right, you don't even know what's just happened, just all of a sudden everything is ok. This huge weight gets somehow lifted off your shoulders and you stand straight again. You breathe deep again. Suddenly, you can laugh again. Then you will know that it is God.

You want Him in a little box, so that I can show Him off to you? No thanks. I'm much better off with God being Who He is now.

Nobody ever has to offer proof of God. Those who will find Him, will.

Yes, of course God is real. I know it historically, because there's really no other way to account for the life, the works, and the teachings of Jesus. And I know it personally, because He has answered WAY too many prayers, my own and others, for me to have the slightest doubt. A living relationship with Him is extremely intimate and personal, and as you would expect of such a bond, it can't be truly expressed or conveyed from a person who has experienced it, to one who hasn't. That's why atheists are unsatisfied. We who know God can't prove Him to others; He prefers to prove Himself to each person individually. I pray you'll give Him a chance to prove Himself to you. If you sincerely seek Him, you'll find Him. He will help you along.
God bless you.

Hey - there is a God. He's absolutely real and no matter how much someone know's Him - there will be those who doubt and will try to argue against His existence. The key is your knowing Him - in the realest of ways. Ask Him to prove Himself to you - He will.
God bless, Jesus loves you and I'll throw a prayer out for you tonight.
