Thumbs down, Pete. Our last monkey ancestor was about 22 million years ago. Between about 22 million years ago and about 5 million years ago, our ancestors were apes.
So, we did indeed evolve from monkeys -- not any species extant today, certainly, but nonetheless monkeys.

Although answersingenesis wants Creationists to avoid the stupid lies that demonstrate Creationist ignorance when they are easily refuted, they have a major problem. It seems that the Creationist leaders have used those lies for so long that the believers don't know that they are lies.

Once again, we did not evolved from apes, monkeys, etc. apes, monkeys, man evolved from a common ancestor. Monkeys became monkeys, apes became apes, and man became man. Is this too hard to understand.

Everything is as it should be. Why are so many concerned with the uncertain elements of creation instead of focusing on improving the quality of the present?

Can we be absolutely certain that there are monkeys? Can it be that Satan has placed the idea of monkeys in our minds to turn us away from the truth!

To make ignorant people ask questions.
Sorry if the truth hurts.
edit
Let me clear this up. By ignorant I mean ignorant of knowing God.
I'm still sorry, it's the only truth that can hurt.

That is because it is a stupid argument. I cringe whenever I hear a fellow Christian use it.
