Can I use direct deposit with an online bank such as ING. In other words I get a monthly check from SSI, can I just have the check go directly to them every month? I hope this question makes sense.

"Can I do direct deposit?
Yes! Once you open an Orange Savings Account, you can access a simple form after logging in and clicking on the Orange Savings Account that you want to set up with Direct Deposit. Just look for the "Direct Deposit Form for this Account" link. You can then either print out the form and give it to your company’s payroll department or take the routing and account number information to fill in your company's form. You can also choose how much to direct deposit from your paycheck - all or only a portion – it's up to you."

Yes. I have an online bank account and direct deposit works just fine. You just need to contact your bank in order to get the proper routing number and, of course, your account number.

Then you just contact SSI in order to get everything set up: http://www.ssa.gov/deposit/

When I opened ING , they were only setting up accounts linked to other banks .
The direct dep went to my bank , then set up auto transfers to ING .

Although they have started this elec orange thing ,
Ask them , not us . . .

yes, just call your bank and ask them for the routing number for your account. I'm sure they get that all the time.
