OK if you start from the premise that there is a God, then by definition there has to be a creator who made God etc. since logically no being with such immense power and knowledge could just happen. Which means that our God is less perfect that the creator ad nauseum. So, we have an imperfect God who makes mistakes like giving Humans the power to disobey God and make their own decisions about things. If you accept that argument then you can follow it on from there and whether you see 'the devil' as real or a representation of human frailty as Milton did it is about allowing not actively creating. Sin is a peculiar notion anyway as what is classed as sin in one context is heroic in another, take murder for example, if you murder as a soldier then you are a hero. I think the universe seeks balance and without negative you cannot concieve of positive. The rest is social engineering which Marx rightly pointed out in his much misunderstood Manifesto.

God never created the devil. It is kinda like this, Good and bad always go together, they are like th 2 sides of a coin. It is us who choose the devil over the good. Devil is grown in our hearts, we are the ones who promote it with our human nature of jealousy and stuff. God wants us to turn away from these things. So we are the real sinners

The devil is the sinner. God did not create sin. He allowed for it. Everything that God created was good. Evil is the absence of good.

The devil was created by the Christian leaders to turn them from Cernunnos the antlered god of the forest. They made people believe that he was evil. He is the green man represented on many churches to please the people so how can he be evil? Just another lie

Snakes are killed on a regular basis by ignorant people because of a story in the bible, same people who say animals have no souls and can't go to heaven. Who needs those people

God had a plan! Satan (Lucifer) used to be an angel of Christ (I believe the angel of music but I may be wrong). He wanted to be God or be like Him (which no one can be) and God banned him from the kingdom of heaven. Satan is the sinner, God is perfect. God is a just God and would never make us do anything we didn't want to do. We have free will!

There's a reason for everything. Like why was man created? Probably to serve God but I don't know if we'll ever know the real reason. But again who knows.

The devil. He had a choice to be good, he did not choose what is right. He is the sinner. I think that the free will is a good thing.

God created us to grow and be like Him. That's why He gave us free will. And how do we grow? Surely it doesn't happen when we are safe in the heaven of our childhood ignorance.
We should experience, we should make choices. Sometimes we make mistakes, we suffer, we learn something, then go on to the next stage of growth. And God is patient ; He knows only after lots of experience we come to know Him and be like Him. And He has bestowed upon us a great blessing which is the best tool ever; helping us exercise our thinking organ, problem-solving ability, and free will: and it's no one but Satan. Thank God for all His blessings.

The way to light passes through darkness.

Deut 32:39 "See now that I myself am He! There is no god besides me. I put to death and I bring to life, I have wounded and I will heal, and no one can deliver out of my hand.

Isa 45:7 I form Light and create darkness, I make weal(well-being) and create woe(misery/sin), I am the Lord, who do all these things.

EXO 4:11 The LORD said to him, "Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the LORD ?

It is not until the rise of Christianity and the adoption of canaanite mythos into their philosophy that the 'devil' get to be as powerfrul as god.

One can look at the Book of Job, the 'advesary' NEED to ask permission from God before he even started messing with Job.

In the canaanite mythos, there was Elohim--the father god who had a nasty temper (alot like the OT view of God.) Elohim was said to favor his son MOT, the canaanite god of Darkness (Again similar to the Lucifer tale). Mot was in a constant struggle with BAAL, the 'resurrected' son god of Life/Fertily (the 'Jesus' figure).

It doesn't make sense God would create a "Devil" to oppose him does it? But for some reason Christians buy it...
