I feed my dogs food that I prepare for them or that is people food because I feel it's safer and healthier for them, especially since lately dogfood has had poisons in it that have killed numerous pets.
So how about we all share tips here?
I keep a bowl of dry cherrios ( cereal) down for my two dogs at all times so that they can snack and then for thier dinner they get cooked beef, chicken, vegtables and the like.

Cheerios actually has calcium in them and I'd be afraid to feed them raw meat...they might get sick.

We feed our dogs Purina Pro Plan, since Purina was one of the only dog food companies to not have problems with their food. We also feed them people food, but nothing too spicy or bad for them (chocolate, grapes, garlic, etc.) Of course, they get in to stuff that they're not supposed to have, but that's any dog if you don't keep things out of reach. There are cookbooks specifically made for dogs, we have two, but have yet to have the energy to make anything.
Sometimes we give them chicken broth or chicken buillon for a treat. They love it.
I applaud you for feeding your dogs homecooked meals. I just don't have the time to make meals hardly for us, much yet for the dogs. You may want to supplement their diets with some vitamins they may not be getting from your meals. That's the only tip I have.

I understand your want to feed them human foods because of the scare lately in the recalls.. However even in people food unless you are raising and killing your own meat there is still a risk. Cows and Chickens are injected with hormones and steriods which affect the meat and veggies have pesticides and who knows what else. So unles you are going to go totally organic I wouldnt waste your time and energy and money on cooking and making your dog special meals. We live in a scary world and if we are scared over every little thing its not going to be a happy life. You are a good pet owner however to worry so much about your dog. I wish you and your dog a happy life span

If you plan to feed your dogs only food you prepare for them at home, research it well before do it. For instance, dogs can eat raw bones but don't ever give them cooked bones. They don't need all the grains found in dog foods, most are used for fillers. Brown rice is ok but no corn or wheat.
Do lots of homework so that you are feeding them a balanced and healthy diet and not feeding them a diet missing out on an important ingredient that the dog needs.

I'm not too sure about the Cheerios but the beef, chicken, and veggies is not bad for them at all. Most dog foods have this in them but we can only guess how much of it is "real." Mix a little oats or something else with like grains or something into what you give them for dinner so that they get it all and its even better for them. Keep up with that because that is not a bad idea to feed them that stuff. :^)

I'd cut out the cheerios, they don't need them.
Make sure you are offering plenty of variety, you need to include organs, and bone. You don't list any calcium source. Bones are full of calcium, as are egg shells.
My dogs get raw meaty bones and organs. Dogs are much better at digesting raw meat rather than cooked.
You should do some research in to a prey model raw diet. If you think home cooking is doing good for them, wait until you see what raw does.

What products did you like? Boppy for the baby to lay on while breastfeeding pump? I got philips avent and loved it. Medela is also good. Be careful because some pumps can actually hurt your nipples. nipple pads? Yes, you'll need them. the disposable ones are best. I bought some reusable ones but they are not that absorbant. creams? Lanolin is the only type of cream you should use on your nipples becuase its' safe for the baby's mouth. I always get Lasinoh brand. surviving the first week tips? Just hang in there. Your nipples will be sore for the first week or maybe even 2 weeks but after that breastfeeding is easy as can be!

I can understand why you prepare your dogs meals with regular food....and I know people who prepare meals for thier dogs every day. However, I just don't have the time...so I stick with dry dog food. Occasionally, I will add a treat to my dogs food bowl of either cooked chicken, beef, fruit or scrambled eggs. Every Sunday morning, I make a big breakfast with eggs, bacon, toast ect....I always make a little extra eggs for the dogs and add it to thier dog food breakfast. They love it!

You need to do more research on homecooked diets for dogs. I'm sorry but what you are feeding isn't nutritionally complete, and you are causing more harm than good. There a a TON of homecooked recipes out there, just google them. Your best bet is to feed a commercial kibble with human grade ingredients and no by-products.

A egg a week is suppos to be good for their coat. but honestly your routine is way high maintenace. I would go back to a dry dog food. My labrador lived for fourteen years on dry Adult Eukanuba. She had to be put asleep for arthritis. But her heart and kidneys were always fine. She was never overweight.
