With 198K miles on the vehicle, $2000 is a lot of money!!!
If you are serious about the truck, and it has no rust, take it to a qualified mechanic and pay them to do a complete check on the vehicle!
Make sure the four wheel drive works! Have the vehicle checked for undercarriage rust, as that is a common problem. Will the truck pass any and all state required inspections / emissions tests?
If it were me, I would want to pay a whole lot less for the truck than $2000. If it is the sport model it may be worth $1500 if it has a warranty!

I wouldn't. 2 grand is a lot of money when you're 16 and a truck with almost 200,000 miles on it is too big a risk. Blazers also have a poor reliability record according to Consumer Reports. Try and find one with fewer miles or get a small sedan, which will be cheaper to insure than an SUV-and at your age insurance costs are very high. Good luck.

I would suggest that you move on and look at another car for potential purchase. This vehicle has alot of miles on it and it may be nothing more than a breakdown waiting to happen. I know you want to get you a car, but please...........be patient, a good quality vehilcle will come along if you keep looking around. I would strongly advise that when you do pick out a car to buy, please take it to a reputable mechanic for a complete inspection, just tell him that you are looking at purchasing it and you want to know if it is mechanically sound. He will then know what you want.

198k miles is alot. CHeck the engine and all of the parts under the hood and make sure that you test drive it. If you feel that you're getting a good buy, then by all means, do it!
