Last year several of us got skunked on 2nd season. Got caught in a nasty snow/ice storm in mid western Illinois. The game all disappeared and even our trucks weren't able to get away from the cabin.
Had a friend there was kind enough to pull us out with a tractor. Naturally, as we were driving away on what was left of the road, we saw 5 deer all within range.Only been skunked twice in 20 years of deer hunting and have gotten some doubles, so I'm not complaining. We average 8 a season in our group.

Two plus one. One with muzzleloader. One with modern gun and one out of the entrance from the highway to my aunt and uncles driveway. Not quite sure what hit it?
It's true. I used to drive drunk (25 years) back from the bar. I never used my brakes, just cruised on by 'til I got with this way younger gal that freaked out everytime she saw a deer. I started applying the brakes everytime she saw one and that year I hit twelve.
Too old Daddy, hunt right in the back yard too here in Arkansas. Killed one one time standing on the seat of the sh!tter at forty feet.
JD, Just dropped full coverage. Nine were in a Ford Bronco II. Believe it or not, the damage was limited to the grill, one fender and a headlight and park light, all fixable with my limited expertise. Toughest little vehicle I ever owned. The gal was driving one night and hit two at the same time, the seven ten split.
By the way I want everybody to know that I am not bragging about drinking and driving. I finally got a much deserved DWI two years ago. I recieved a sentence of six months suspended liscense, one year probation, and had to have the ignition lock breathelizer installed on my vehicle. I learned my lesson to the tune of about $5,000 and do my drinkin' at home now.

None. I did hear that if you think you are going to hit a deer in your car, you are suppose to stomp on the gas not the brake.
Your thoughts.
