shouldn't we then have to fertilize all egg that women ever produce (e.g. through artificial insemination)? By NOT having sex everyday, aren't we depriving those beautiful ova from being fertilized and thus letting them DIE? If we outlaw birth control, don't we then have to make sure that women have as many kids as possible?

EDIT: "Combining," not "combing."

Bad logic? Explain. I am indirectly supporting birth control simply by showing the hypocrisy of people that are against it.

I believe in essentially all birth control. However, I do NOT believe in free sex. That's ridiculous. I am just showing logic for birth control by showing that making it illegal is really stupid and hypocritical.

The female body naturally seeks out and detroys sperm and prevents conception. Did you know that 8/10 fertilized eggs do not implant in the uterine lining and get flushed out like an unfertilized egg during mentration. Also the vagina's acididy destoys most sperm, the cervix has a natural mucus layer that keeps most sperm out and the body attacks sperm because it is an outside intruder.

Besides, females are born with the amount of eggs they will have and those eggs start releasing around the age of 12 or whenever menarche starts. Birth control actually prevents eggs from being released, so if anything, it keep them in the ovaries for later use lol

And what about sperm. In the case of conception, one in MILLIONS of sperm is used..therefore MILLIONS die.

I have never heard of any movement to ban birth control. Not in the western nations anyways. But, that being, said I see your point and I am with you 100%.

Also, not everyone woman on birth control go on it to sleep around. Take me for example, I went on it to help ease the pain of endometriosis. It wasn't until I was 22 (I'm 23 now) that I used it as a contracptive with my boyfriend of 6 years.

Yeah if they want to claim that is the reason bc is wrong your right , every egg would have to be fertilized. We know thats not going to happen, couldn't physically or by desire.

Look at the catholics in the 60's (probably before as well )family's of 12 and more kids, thats nuts. You know they aren't listening to the Pope these days or we would see more families like that. A single none sexual man knows nothing about having a family.

You are thinking too much. The birth control debate is all about the control of women.

If all the women are pregnant and have a dozen kids to feed, they will not be organizing feminist movements or trying to ban alcohol. They will be too tired.

The Bible says to "go forth & multiply" and then Jesus is supposed to come down and feed all those kids or something. But he forgot, I guess, cause lots of them starve, especially in Africa where the Catholics have convinced the people that using condoms will send them to hell.

You're absolutely right.

The birth control debate has much less to do with having babies than it does with having sex just for pleasure. Birth control is a religious idea because some are taught that pleasures of the flesh are wrong. And you know how religious folks are, if they believe something, they need to force everybody else to follow their belief.

There are several levels of argument against contraception.

1. Argument from natural law
God designed our sexual nature so that intercourse is both pleasurable and capable of conceiving new life. We pervert God's design when we artificially disable the possibility of conception in order to make sex solely a means of satisfying our sensual desire. By thwarting the natural operation of our bodies we disrespect the order of nature and thus disrespect God who put that nature in place.

2. Gratification of the flesh
The saints throughout history have placed a great deal of importance on the need to discipline the senses, since someone who is controlled by sensual appetites is hindered in the exercise of free will to fulfill God's commands. To indulge in pleasure for its own sake, which is what contraception encourages, is opposed to this kind of discipline and weakens our ability to make decisions that may be painful or uncomfortable in order to conform to God's law.

3. Gateway to greater evils
Pope Paul VI predicted that the use of contraception would lead to greater incidence of abortion and divorce. It promotes abortion because it creates a mindset that sex should not result in pregnancy, so when it does result in pregnancy due to failure of birth control strategies the possibility of abortion is much stronger because the pregnancy was not wanted to begin with. It leads to divorce because the availability of contraception makes adultery seem more convenient and attractive.

Like the argument my friend...but doesn't that ALSO mean that when a woman conceives, there is only ONE out of at least a few THOUSAND sperm is combined with the egg, that means that all those other thousands of sperm dies...so that must mean that we must then take all the other sperm and impregnate all the women in the world...wahoo!!! I like the idea of that...funny as hell.

Ha. I thought about that back when I actually agreed with that crap.

I think we consider birth control wrong because sex is so horrible and disgusting and if you're going to do it you better be getting something like a kid out of it.
Stupid, in my opinion.

oh yawn....is there STILL a debate over birth control?
I'll tell you what, if we don't get a whole lot more into controlling the population growth on this planet, we will all drown in our own poisons. Then the damnable "right to life" advocates will be guilty of murder, of an entire planet.

The world has 6 billion people, planned parenthood should be the law, especially where people procreate unwisely. Abortion is here to stay because of flaws in the combining.

combing? I didn't know they made combs that small.

EDIT -LOL - I know, just had to tease.

Are you condoning frequent sex then with all women, married or not, of the age to breed, in order to knock up as many as possible?

What about those who are infertile - their eggs won't make anything?
