Rena, I am not going to quote scripture, it seems to annoy so many visitors, I am quite frankly saddened by bias attitudes from other responses. God gave each one of us the seed of faith. We have a choice to use it or not. When one does evil, people say, "He didn't know any better because no one ever showed him the true light of God". It doesn't matter what faith's journey we take, God in any faith, gives us the seed so we know there is someone or something that is directing our lives and trying to guide us. Some people use their unconscious knowledge to grow in the likeness of God, others chose to go down the road of darkness rather than light. Mine is the light. I am a happier, more productive person, loving all human beings on this earth as God intended us to do.

the holyghost if received is truly a part of the divine which is in us. but to say that we are gods is broad interpretation of what psalms 62 is saying.
but in the new testament, Jesus clearly said that WE have power to become the sons of God. He also said in the resurrection Mankind will become like the angels, Others have interpreted this to mean that We become part of the godhead, however, in a limited interpretation, only the angels who become the sons of God Who then become saviours and Messiahs and creators, They have the sparks of eternity and the Promise of Rev 3:20 and 21:7.
but NOT everyone gains this Exaltation.
it also says by the words of Paul that Everyone is indeed the offspring of the Father of all living. which could also be loosely implied that we have a spark of divinity.
However, in the book of mormon and the LDS religion, it is confirmed that NO ONE that is born on this planet has ever been without a spark of Christ, or a belief, and the spirit of God in them. (something like that).

Being divine, is given to those that pure, not to those that are fallen, mankind is fallen, so i have to agree that the Holy Ghost is what gives us the spark of divinity. the mormons have taught that we are Gods in Embryo, so that is not too far from saying the same thing.
God bless.

I have a slightly different opinion on the fact mentioned in your question. I differ in my opinion and on the interpretation of the divine spark. Everyone has a right to differ. Everyone has a right to his or her opinions and to my belief and realization my opinion is more correct than the one mentioned in this question.

When Jesus said there is a spark of Divine in every Human being he did not mean a particular spark or a particular kind of spark in a human being.

He meant as follows :
Since every human being is a divine creation, the creation of the divine and as Jesus has said 'every human being is made in the image of God' :

Every Human being has a spark of Divine, an essence of the divinity in him or her.
Since human being is a divine creation and is made in the image of God, the divinity every human being has a divine spark within.

So no matter how bright or dim the spark may be the divine spark is present in every human being.

So the question "Do you know what your divine spark is ?" is a wrong question.

Since the divine spark Jesus talked about did not mean to have types, characteristics, qualities and such form of attributes.

It does not make sense to say What one's divine spark is.

Since it is the divine spark, the light of God, the divinity within.

I hope you understand what I am trying to communicate.

So Rena, the answer to your question is :

It is a wrong question !

The correct question would be:
"Jesus said there is a spark of Divine in every human being.
Do you realize this fact or do you understand this fact ?"

no i disagree.having a spark of Divine would make our life more peaceful and that's whats unavailable here on earth.i mean Divine is always stronger than the evil so if we had a particle of that spark u wouldn't see people hurting or fighting or even crying.because having a spark of Divine would make our life perfect.so its not true.all we see in life is people fighting to pass and try not to be bad.but if u mean that there is always good side in each person so that's true

It is more than just a spark, everyone one of us has a divine self with in us. That is who you truly are, the best part of you. Most people do not see their divine self and that is sad. Mine is my ties to the Earth and the Fae. The inner spark crosses the bounds of blood.

Mine is the same as is in you and everyone else, the divine is the divine no matter what you call it. My spark is becoming a flame where light is shed in my life and those around me.

All the attributes of the Divine are as a drop of water from the ocean, each drop holds every single make-up of the entire ocean, therefore holding all the sum total of the ocean. Same as with a single ray of sunlight. So is man, he holds all the attributes of the Divine, the sum total of our Creator.

It's time mankind recognized this fact too.

Where did He say that? If you mean Luke 17:20-21, you got it all wrong...

Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”

This is a horrible translation. "the Kingdom of God is within you" should properly be written "the Kingdom of God is within your midst".

He was talking to those (the Pharisees) who were so far from the truth, that they were accusing the work of the Holy Spirit as of Satan. Obviously, God was not "within them". Jesus was saying that they keep looking for the kingdom here and there (see preceding verses), but they did not know that Jesus Himself was the kingdom come in the flesh right there before their very eyes.
He also said that they search the scriptures thinking that within the scriptures they would find eternal life, but in reality, the scriptures testified of Him. HE was the source of eternal life, and HE was the kingdom that had come upon them.

There are many examples to confirm this. Here is one in Matthew 12:28 Jesus said, "If I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you."
