What do you think? Is that a good idea? Why or why not?

Isn't that a bit like sticking a gun to someone's head and saying 'Jesus loves you, so convert now!'?

It's a threat, basically. Convert, or else. This is precisely the kind of attitude that brings such ignominy upon Islam at the moment and on religion in general. No person, much less a country, should have religion dictated to it.

Of course, it might be comforting to say Bin Laden is 'a walking dead man' but the reality is that neither the US, or that mythical 'Coalition of the Willing', have been able to capture him. In this respect, I think Bin Laden is cleverly taunting the US and its allies, reminding them in the most provocative manner he can of his presence; in that sense it is something of a PR coup because it reminds the world that the US can't do the one thing it would like to above all else - capture him. That aside, his message is still wrong.

Usama bin Laden has set such a compassionate and enlightened example for the world that I cannot see how anyone in the United States (or elsewhere) could resist falling on their faces before Allah out of sheer admiration.

Um no since he has no right to tell anyone that they need to convert to a certain religion or die. Bite me Osama! And may God have mercy on your soul. Allah too, since He is the Christian God (Yahweh), and just like any extremism, Osama is representative of a perversion of true and loving religions like true Christianity, Judaism and Islam, and our common God.

It is only by faith in God’s covenant promise of salvation through Christ that salvation may be attained.

The real Islamic problem is not their militancy but the fact that they, like all who do not love the Lord Jesus, are destined for God’s condemnation.

It is a bad idea to convert to Islam. It is a good idea to trust in Christ alone for our salvation. "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

Ok.. Osama bin Ladin... wants us all to convert to his religion... so that what? we can all become bomb carrying mindless drones?

He places ZERO value on human life - not his, not the life of other muslims in his organization, not on muslims that do agree with him, not on muslims that dis-agree with him, yet he suggests that we all become Muslims like him?

Where will that get ME?

What's the point of following his directive.. If I do convert, then it's not him who is going to protect me from Bin Ladin.. that's for sure...

To date, I've avoided getting sucked in by all other religions, so I'm not about to jump in - not at the request of this idiot!

I think that once again, I'll pass on his offer.

Something tells me he does not make a very good spokes person for conversions to Islam.. Might just be me but... Launching an attack on the US an killing a few thousand innocent civilians kinda works against him.

Its like saying, we should all worship Allah, a statue image. No way, What does our country have to do with Islamic religion, I believe He just wants to dominate This country and once he does , he'll get to all countries until there's one religion only, Im not living in communism.

Is this surprising to you? It's bad idea for any religion to force an entire nation to convert. Religion is a personal choice.

That's a pretty big request. Having 300 million people convert to a religion they've been fighting with for millenia. The creepy thing was he sounded a lot like some of you Bible thumpers out there. "Convert or burn in hell," Hmm.
