It is because Yahweh is all stuffy, uptight, bossy, and genocidal. Jesus, however, is loose, inviting, he is everybody's homeboy. He is gangsta' fly, that Jesus is.

Jesus is a greek name refering to Jeshua ben Joseph that was born of a woman and masterfully proved to the world that death has no hold on the life that lives in the body

If we think back to when we were little kids, you may remember that once in a while you got a smack on your bottom for misbehaving. Once you became an adult however your parents (hopefully) didn't hit you anymore...they might yell at you but they wouldn't think of hitting you. We may conclude from this that our parents were much nastier when we were little than when we were older. The truth of course is that once we matured we no longer needed corporeal punishment. Perhaps this is analogous to the Old Testament versus the New Testament. It's not God that changed, but rather our maturity level.

The truth is that though God the Father Yhwh showed his anger toward sin, and we have not seen the same judgment of sin from Jesus, is because HIS DAY IS YET TO COME.
Examined the lyrics from the Battle Hymn of the Republic.
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord (2nd time) He is trampling out the vintage where the GRAPES OF WRATH are stored. He hath loosed the FATEFUL LIGHTENING OF HIS TERRIBLE SWIFT SWORD. HIS TRUTH IS MARCHING ON.
Jesus has been holding back His wrath until ALL who will come to Him come. When the time is right and I hope you don't wait that long, Christ will come in the clouds and those who are ready will be transformed bodies included and meet him in the air. Then all hell will break out on earth. and the GREAT TRIBULATION WILL TAKE PLACE. THE ANTI-CHRIST WILL ARISE AND DECEIVE THE NATIONS ACCEPT JESUS TODAY, THIS IS THE NEXT EVENT ALL OTHERS HAVE BEEN FULFILLED IN THE WORD OF GOD! he loves you!!!!!!

You are right , Yah and Jesus are NOT the same person, they are father and son.
You are wrong in the assumption that their personalities are very different. Jesus is the perfect imitation of his father and came to this earth do do His Fathers will.
What was that will of the father??????????
Yah, loved the Humans of the world SO much, that He sent His only first hand made by God (begotten) SON to die as a perfect sacrifice to save ALL mankind.Jesus Had faith in His fathers ability to Resurrect Jesus back to his Lofty position in the Heavens. How ever He still had to complete the sacrifice of death to save mankind. Because He was a Human....THAT WAS EXCRUCIATING!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yet He did it because of Love, He learned that Love from His Father.'Because God Loved the world SO Much He sent His ONLY begotten Son to Save the Humans in it!
NO DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!!!

They are not the same person. Bible CLEARLY shows them as seperate. All those that state they are the same, have to twist the words, or say its a metaphor, etc. Words are words, and He commands us not to add or take away.
Romans 10:9 on how to be saved CLEARLY shows they are seperate.
No clue bout Jesus, I talk to YHWH daily. He's past awesome. I know Him as Grandfather.

that is because they ARE NOT as you suggest the same person. Jesus is the son of Jehovah (YHWH) and not god himself. He is "the firstborn of all creation" and is a reflection of his father in the sense that he and his father "are one" in purpose. He prayed to his father on many occasions and was not praying to himself or an aspect of himself. They are two seperate people and thus possess seperate personalities. Research "Arianism" for more info.

They aren't the same person. Yahweh is the translation of the old Hebrew name for God, not Jesus.
