Do you have a problem with this person? If so, deal directly with the person and not have a hissy over a simple phone message. What is wrong with the message? Islam, Judaism, Christianity all believe in blessings, Wiccan's state Blessed Be.....it seems to be an all-inclusive ending to a pleasant phone message. She isn't saying only you fundamentalist Christians have a great blessed day and the rest of you go to hell, or telling the Muslim to community that she supports an infintada (spelling) against anyone non-Muslim, so what is the problem?

Besides the fact that in this country we have a little thing called free speech. Many cultures believe in blessings, so why should you not wish some to be blessed, regardless of their religious beliefs. The message does say may God Bless You, or Buddha, or Mohamed etc, so I don't think anyone should be troubled by it. If your company wishes to restrict such personal additions to company voice mail, they could simply us a computer generated one or have a few dedicated ones. Personally speaking, I am a Protestant Christian, and believe that everyone needs to be blessed in these times and in this world as it is.

I'm a Christian.

It appears that you're the only one who is concerned about it, judging from these answers, and judging from the absence of any mention of customer complaints.

"Have a blessed day" is a somewhat vague phrase wishing the callers well. What's wrong with that?

Is there any one out there who actually doesn't want to be blessed?

I say relax, and don't make a mountain out of a message.

Ugh, confusing whilst dealing with an MR inhabitants fairly. My SIL is signficantly cognitively impaired and besides the fact it fairly is 38 applications like a 2 year previous and is interested in Mickey Mouse, a blues clues play cellular telephone etc and yule is often so frustrating via fact we could incorporate a modern-day for her nevertheless she isn't fascinated a lot in toys in any respect, she is likewise autistic. So she is 38. So my activity everyyear is to get some thing decrease priced (via fact its a waste whilst she does not take pastime in issues), locate some thing it fairly is developmentally some thing she could be interested in yet in addition no longer a toddler toy. earlier I met her, (she lives in a team residing house) and that i had dated my husband for purely particularly I asked my now mom in regulation what could be acceptable to get her. She responds oh she is great at puzzles, spectacular, loves puzzles. So ok i bypass to get one. i desperate on a 500 piece puzzle of atmosphere. Age acceptable sure, yet developmentally she would be in a position to do some 6-8 piece great knobbed puzzle like a 2 year previous can. So the subsequent year i purchase her a blues clues play cellular telephone, which she enjoyed and my MIL pronounced no longer something. here year, different family participants had observed that she had cherished the toddler toy I had given her final christmas that pronounced 12m+ i think of. So she have been given somewhat some 'toddler' toys here yule for presents and my MIL via that factor, properly she threw a great hissy fit, not greater toddler toys! some years after the not greater toddler toys blow up we gave her a luxurious crammed animal Mickey mouse. MIL had a cow. I defined to her yet I even have crammed animals throughout our residing house that are mine, and are sketch character. i've got have been given garfield, hi kitty... So even it fairly is O-U-T! So its frustrating to locate issues which could pastime a 2 year previous, yet be some thing acceptable to offer to a typical grownup. we've performed a remo ocean drum, the locate it toy, newton's cradle, xylophone, paint with water, rain stick, lava lamp, its fairly stressful

Get a grip. You can take the kid out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the kid. No one leaves their beliefs at the door. Especially atheists. I bet she talks with a Southern accent also. Let's stone her for that too. What if she says "you guys" and I'm a girl? What in the world are we going to do? Such unappropriate things going on in this world and we tolerate it! Oh, my goodness, I said "unappropriate" instead of "inappropriate." Shoot me. HAVE I MADE MY SARCASTIC POINT YET?

Atheist. No problem with that. Just because the words "blessed" and "you" are in the same sentence does not mean the person is a hooligan.

"Hell", I've even been known for using religious based praise or damnation. "Bless You" for sneezing. "Damn It" for whatever.

Jumpin'Jebus Jehosophukinphaticgerbil for something else.

I'm Atheist. As long as the answering machine doesn't represent the company in any way and is only her, personal answering machine then I would say it is appropriate. People have the right to express what they believe in any way they want to, and that is exactly what she is doing.

There's nothing wrong with it, I don't think you should judge her. There needs to be more people like HER in the world. And, there's also freedom of speech to consider.

Unless someone is a REAL stuffed-shirt putz, I can't see that would be a problem to any caller.
