The two do not contradict each other. Nor does the big bang theory. Evolution may be the method God utilizes to create. This is not a new concept, but has been around since the 1800's. Many spiritual leaders today believe there will be a merging of science and religion. They feel science is right on evolution and religion is correct in believing a force or God set the big bang in motion.

All these are creation scientists--there are a lot more
Creation like evolution is a theory. The Atheists and agnostics will have you believe it is not but many open minded and religious scientists have used the scientific method to show experiments and facts that show creation is viable. There are a LOT of holes in the theory of evolution and in the "origin of species"--written by Darwin. Some of the most glaring are: Where did the encoded information in the DNA molecule come from? What happened before the Big Bang? What caused singularity of the Big Bang? What natural process allowed an inorganic molecule to gain the complexity necessary to become organic--to exhibit life? If evolution is correct and a dinosaurs arm became a birds wing would not the limb become a bad arm long before it became a good wing? If an animal dies naturally over time after a while it decomposes even its bones turn to dust. How could it fossilize? In order for a dead animal to fossilize it must by definition die almost instantaneously and be buried. The only two possibilities for this is an asteroid collision or a MASSIVE FLOOD--genesis. There is some evidence for the former but much more for the latter. Finally how accurate is Carbon 14 dating?

Evolution

Well one is a scientific Theory and the other is a religious myth.

To respect God and its grant of intelligence, reason, understanding I will take the scientific theory.

I find it very funny that those who believe God is all powerful seem to think God would not have the ability, know how, or power to create a universe that evolves on its own to adapt and change. To me Evolution is actually more proof that at some level way above us is some entity that is laying down a foundation for us to grow out of.

Way too many holes in evolution. It takes way too much faith for me to buy into it.

I'd take creationism any day over that other option. At least there's nothing in creation which proves creation wrong, which you can't truthfully say about evolution.

you may "have faith" something you prefer to, consisting of that evolution is a "faith." even with the shown fact that, believing some thing does not make it actual. I neither have faith nor disbelieve in something. I take each and every little thing as conditionally actual or conditionally untrue based on the info and arguments for or against. between the common alterations between evolution and faith is that the former demands basically the organic international, while the latter demands an entire supernatural realm of God and devil, demons and angels, djinns and afreets, and despite the fact that different spirits a particular faith chooses to populate that realm with. In a private and/or parochial college, I have not have been given any concern with faith being taught. I attend a private Catholic college, and besides the shown fact that i'm not a believer, I have not have been given any concern with the religion classes (2) that i'm required to take. even with the shown fact that, that toleration ends while it includes public faculties, that are paid for with taxpayer funds, and which scholars could desire to attend without decision, and regardless of their non secular or religious ideals. greater, mutually because it could desire to be actual that many of the Founding Fathers have been Christians (besides the shown fact that many of the main renowned weren't), this us of a replaced into in no sense based on the Christian faith. that's not hypothesis, yet is obviously enunuciated in records such through fact the Treaty of Tripoli (i will leave it to you to look that up). the considered "freedom of religion" ability not basically the liberty to prepare your faith, however the liberty from having another faith compelled upon you. this could be precisely the case interior the concern you describe, with public faculties coaching training on Christianity. this could be tantamount to a company of religion, that's expressly forbidden by ability of the 1st substitute to the form. i be attentive to you think of that evolution is by some ability a "faith," even with the shown fact that it extremely is not so by ability of any generic definition of that be conscious. It takes greater advantageous than "believing in" some thing to qualify it as a faith. And besides, as I even have already talked approximately, accepting the reality of evolution does not require theory.

Evolution continues to discover more and more proof. Do you know how bacteria become resistant to anti-biotics? They evolve. Creationism has no proof, only that a person said so. That's why they can't get Creationism out of the belief stage. Evolution is leaving Creationism in the dust.

The interesting thing about the theory of evolution (an hypothesis, really) is that there is no data to support it (only claims), and it is scientifically impossible!

The idea that a lightening strike into an ocean of pure water would create a living cell with a semipermeable outer membrane, a nucleus with a semipermeable membrane, DNA and RNA in the nucleus and the ability to reproduce itself by mitosis, is not only scientifically impossible, it is so preposterous as to be ludicrous!

And that people who "believe" in evolution laugh at those of us who know that evolution is scientifically impossible, is simply INSANE!
