I am a big fan of Ken Rockwell's work. http://www.kenrockwell.com if you dig around enough on his sitei a sure he has an outlet through which you can buy prints. if nothing else he is friendly and will andswer e-mail. he also does a lot of nature and wildlife photography fro stock houses.
the most recent and sadly, recently passed away, landscape photographer i can tink of that has a stellar reputation is Galen Rowell. this will take some internet searching but it may be possible to still buy large signed prints from the family or his estate. http://www.mountainlight.com/
Dan Burkholder does some interesting and amazing landscape and pictorial work and some truly mindbending prints of composites through his "digital negative" technique. you can guy large prints through his web site of any of his work. http://www.danburkholder.com

Learn some basics, look for good light, and apply elemental guidelines of composition to capture images that are more like stunning and less like mediocre snapping. It takes some applied learning effort and practice time. I do not agree to play with camera settings willy nilly and snap a thousand pictures to hopefully get a good one. You have to understand what you are changing and why. So begin learning and getting ready to get the most from your camera. Best wishes and happy shooting.

If you're so lucky to have photoshop or something of that sort, try playing with the brightness / contrast / colour for some more added effects afterwards. don't really manipulate it, but you can puts some more darks in to give it that little extra umph.
