It's theoretically possible, at least the repentance part. I would DOUBT that under any circumstances that the devil would ever again be an angel.

The trouble with "the theory" is it simply asks the question as ... a possibility. Biblically speaking, there is NO EVIDENCE that it ever would happen. I mean, the Bible speaks of the defeat of the devil in the end times. That can be seen as a predictor of his own behavior vis a vis repentance. ALSO, we are taught through the doctrine of predestination that only those chosen by God are saved, that EVERYONE is hopelessly lost in sin, and God woos some of us with an effectual call out of that bondage. Again, where's the evidence that God is calling the devil?

So, BACK to the theoretical. NO ONE is soooooooo lost in sin that it is our call to make that they cannot be saved. That's like saying, THIS CASE is impossible, even for God. So, in THAT sense, the devil COULD (conceptually) be saved; i.e., he ain't too tough of a case for God. But for the reasons outlined above, it's pretty reasonable to conclude that God isn't going to save him.

First of all, the devil is still an angel--but an evil angel; he is not holy anymore because he rebelled against God, and God tossed him out of heaven with all the other angels who rebelled with him. Second, it is impossible for him to repent. Third, Jesus Christ died only for people--all people--but not evil angels. That's why Jesus had to become a man in addition to remaining God, so that He could die for all people and rise again to show that He was victorious over the devil.

The Bible does not specifically tell us whether God ever gave the fallen angels an opportunity to repent. Satan (Lucifer) was one of the highest angels, perhaps the highest (Ezekiel 28:14). Lucifer knew God in all His glory. For Lucifer and the other angels to rebel despite what they knew about God, it is the utmost of evil. This likely results in God not giving Satan and the other fallen angels the opportunity to repent. Further, the Bible gives us no reason to believe they would repent even if God gave them the chance (1 Peter 5:8). The fallen angels seem completely devoted to opposing God and attacking God's people. The Bible tells us that one of the things God judges on is how much knowledge of Him a person possesses (Luke 12:48). The fallen angels, then, are even much more deserving of God’s wrath because of the exceedingly great knowledge they had about God.

No, the Devil cannot repent and become an angel again. Turning from sin to Jesus is reserved for humans.

it is a posability in some sort of way but then again if he did that then there would be no need for god or good because what would good be compared to that it would show it was good enil and the devil are needed for god and good to be truthfull yet again that is that it is all true but the concept of the main evil becoming good then good would be null and void unless another evil tooks its place but like they say the Abrahamic god is everything then he is the main evil because as the story good evil was faund in the heart of said angel and since he made said angel then was that placed their from its creature or what placed it there but meh

its all how one looks at it one could look at the front and only see whats there or take a moment and look at the back and get the entire picture right needs wrong wrong needs right

Angels don't HAVE free will, as pure spirits they ARE a form of will itself. At the moment of their coming into being by God's creation they become--and irrevocably are--an eternal choice for or against God. The angels who have become a choice against God are called devils, demons, or fallen angels. Repentance really is not possible if an angel/fallen angel is properly understood.

Thought provoking question.Ever since i was a little girl i wondered about this.Because God is big on forgiveness Jesus talks about forgiveness. As a matter of fact Salvation is based on faith and the forgiving of sins, and repentance.Which only leaves me with another question Is there a point of which it's too late to ask forgiveness. Can we go too far where forgiveness is not possible? For me the answer is No.As for Satan he was the one to rebuke God and turned against God and because of his actions his heart turned to stone. He will never turn to God and ask forgiveness and repent.

There is some discussion of this in Orthodoxy. Some monks have been known even to pray for the conversion of the devil. At least, they say, it could do no harm (except perhaps make him angry).

It depends on your belief., and who you consider the devil to be. GOD! gave a man a free will, and with every problem GOD! will give you two options! Then its up to you to choose to obey the one you believe that is right. Myself i would love to stand before GOD! and say the devil made me do it! However their are evil spirts that can and will posess you and if you let them they will control you completely.
