I was told that if I don't marry a Christian man I would go to Hell. Is this true?
I Love God and I I am not going to convert, but I also respect him and his religion. If we are supposed to love everyone then why can't I love him?

What do you think? If you are a Christian, you already know the answer. Of course you are not going to hell.

You will not go to hell because you married a Jewish man. The bible says be equally joked so you both can share and walk with the same vision as one.

You marriage will not necessary be harder or easier if you marry a Jew. He may treat you better than an Christian man would. Your quality of marriage is determined by love and respect you have for each other.

The question is: if faith is a big part of your life will he be a part of it?

If you're worried about this, then it's something you need to talk over with him. He will be seen as marrying outside his faith, certainly, and that could present problems for you in the future. Within the Jewish community, you will be welcomed unless he is a VERY Orthodox Jew, and if that were the case, I don't think he'd be considering marrying a Gentile woman. You should each learn about the other's faith; most synagogues have "Intro to Judaism" classes that are probably starting up now that public school is back in session. I don't begin to believe that you or anyone else will go to hell for marrying outside your faith, but I do believe that it could be the source of problems.

Marriage has to do with yoke. When god says that we are supposed to love everyone, he doesn't mean that love will be the same with everyone. We are supposed to be involved with people with whom we will be engaged in the service of the gospel. Most jews don't accept Jesus as the messiah (the christ). I figure that you should search for this answer yourself. "Are you going to hell if you marry a Jewish man?" And "what does god think about it?". / G., Rio de Janeiro (ferreiro_romano@yahoo.com.br)

only if you're catholic. just kidding. why would you go to hell for loving? that's plain idiotic. i'm an atheist and don't believe in heaven or hell, but that's besides the point. jews are god's chosen children right? jesus was a jew right? so i guess that means that if jesus were alive and wanted to marry you, your church wouldn't allow it? seems kind of contradictory. you can love anybody you want and marry anybody you want. the only reason i think that a christian sect would prohibit you marrying a jew is fear that you'll convert and they'll lose a paying church member. it's like changing banks.

No, If you are a truly saved person who you marry has nothing to do with your salvation. Maybe your love for him will be such a witness that he will see Jesus in You, I know of a lot of wives who come to church who pray for their lost husbands and the husbands usually get saved in the end. There is some verses in the Bible about being unequally yoked, I think that is where they come up with those scriptures but who knows if God didn't put you in that mans life to save it. Good Luck and may God Bless Your Marriage!!

No, you are not going to Hell. Before, of if, you get married you will both have to sit down and talk about religion, like how kids will be raised, and other things. If you truly love each other, things will work out.

you can love him, you should love him. thier is no conflict of interest about respecting a different religion and being christian...

dont let yourself be tormented, you obviously have a relationship with god, let that giude you not what some other imperfect human has said.

btw- you and your love should talk about how you will raise your future children, or else it could be a huge fight down the road...

jesus was a jew, he said to love the jewish people, your not going to hell for who you love or who you marry, the only thing that can keep you from heaven is not accepting christ. and from what i gather, the jews will all be saved regardless , it says all of isreal will be saved. i don't know who told you this but they lied to you, and they are twisting the christian belief. you can love who ever you want, you can't help who you fall in love with. and god loves you. so don't worry, you are fine, you love your man with all your heart, and don't worry about conversion, you be who you are, and let him be who he is. you can explain what you believe and listen to what he believes, if you guys have kids, teach them both beliefs and let them choose for themselves. good luck and god bless!

Are you playing silly? No Christians in hell or you don't call Christians those who are Christians but those who like to call themselfs this way!!!
BUT there is a text you should be aware of:

"Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take away the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? May it never be!

Or do you not know that the one who joins himself to a prostitute is one body with her? For He says, "THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH."... What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?"(1 Corinthians 6:15,16,19)

If you are a real Christian you should look for a Christian male (person that is a temple of Holy Ghost) to marry to.
