Alright, so I used to have awesome shiny and silky smooth hair...now, due to stress and stuff, it's not quite as shiny or smooth. I use Garnier fortifying shampoo and conditioner, but it doesn't give me any smoothness or shine! So what products would you recommend for getting smooth (is there ANY way to get rid of that slight frizz?) and shiny (I mean SHINY!) hair? Thanks bunches!

I tried Garnier to reduce frizz, and it made my hair twice as dry and frizzy. This is what works for me to keep it shiny and smooth:
-wash my hair every night but condition it every other night (Dove Advanced Care Sheer Moisture shampoo and conditioner)
- rinse my hair in really cold water for about 1 minute before getting out of the shower (adds shine and helps smooth and clos hair shfat to smooth frizz and damage)
- use TRESemme Anti-Frizz Secrert Creme while my hair is still very wet to lock in moisture
- let hair air dry COMPLETELY so it doesn't frizz (at first it may frizz if you're used to blow drying it, but it will stop frizzing)
- when it's dry, use a little bit of Nuetrogena Triple Moisture Healing Shine Serum, it works great to add shine and smooth frizz and make it soft buttoo much will make it look greasy and weighed down

This is what works for me and I highly reccomend it for you, but if you don't end up buying these products, you can still do the cold water rinse to add shine.

But whatever products you use, look at the ingredients. The ones with more than 2 alcohols in them damage your hair badly. Products like Pantene, Herbal Essences, and Aussie do.=)

Hiya

You should use Herbal Essences Fruit Fusions Moisture Splash Shampoo and lots of Herbal Essences Fruit Fusions Moisture Splash Conditioner. That should give life back to you hair!

Blow dry, with the hair drier pointing down to the roots.

For the frizz you could use defrizz serum, but the shampoo should sort out minor frizz.
Rub it in damp hair before blow drying.

I have very long, straight hair, so I can't help you on the frizzies. However, I can tell you that I tried Garnier and it dried my hair out something horrible. I never blow dry my hair (it's so straight I can get away with it) but after using the Garnier it gave my hair a very course, dry, fly away feel to it. I use Pantene now and like it much better. They have one that helps smooth hair and reduce the frizzies - you might give it a try.

I used to get a VO5 treatment that came in a jar and had a shower cap with it. You would put it on your hair and put the cap on and leave it on for about 15 minutes and then wash your hair like normal. It made my hair so smooth and soft and it smelled like a salon for about 3 days. I used to do it once a month when I was trying to let my hair grow out and to help prevent split ends. I think that it was VO5 extreme treatment.

Try using natural-based products such as virgin coconut oil and olive oil for hair treatments. Instead of the commercial products which are purely synthetics, use these natural products. They will produce positive reults. Also eat nuts and protein rich food and avoid stress, alcohol & caffeine. Good luck!
