what do you think, i feel like it keeps getting worse. why do we even celebrate new years, we should stop this tradition of new year celebration.

At the rate we are going right now, I have to say worse.

Better or worse is hard to define. If you read History books you will clearly see that we are living in the best times ever and in some countries they are living in the worst times ever. So it is hard to say.

No way, each year new medical and technological advancements make life significantly better. The world is a MUCH better place than it was 50 years ago. They didn't even freeze your teeth when you got fillings back then. >_<

Let's hope it gets better. Many people in the U.S., and other countries, like India, are having to recover from a lot of natural disasters. ...and we need our little celebrations. They make us happy !

I think it's going to get worse. All you have to do is look at all the downfall of the our governing system. It seems like people in all walks of life are spinning out of control, from the pulpit to the congress.

People aren't getting any worst, the only thing that is getting worst is the environment. We are the same vicious, malicious, ignorant, material people that we used to be. But yes, the environment will be worse tomorrow.

Unfortunately, it will continue getting worse until Christ's return. We're supposed to continue trying to keep our country's morals from declining, however. That's a tough job!

Because there is always hope of something better....that is why we celebrate a new beginning. It is better to have a positive attitude than a negative one.

In order for things to improve one has to change their thinking and what I've seen on television we can look forward to even more horrors- Just check out "Future Weapons", how about those smart bombs, Improved gas agents.

Governments plan on people not behaving themselves so what kind of future does that indicate?
