I know that many of you apply it to human development up to about 3 or 4000 years ago, but shouldn't we get back to the killing of the weak, the sick, the weird and the minority. Seems like if we are gonna make any progress we should get rid of all the ones who are holding us back. Maybe start with murderers, nope forgot most of you are against the death penalty. How about those who care more for animals than for human beings, you know those of you who call people viruses, they have obviously betrayed the species. I know get rid of the environmentalists they accept ToE, but don't believe it capable of evolving us to deal with changing weather patterns, poor, pathetic, weak evolution can't keep up with the big bad evil virus people.

Your ridiculous theory is crumbling folks. The science isn't there. The philosophy isn't there. Apart from a Christian worldview there is no moral reason why we shouldn't do what I have outlined.

Trust Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, He is our only hope.

Yet another Christian who seems to have never heard of morality.

Uh dude. Are you on medication? No? Well now's a good time to start. Let's review a few things about evolution, shall we? It takes millions of years to show any notable change. That's why the end of the ice age wiped out some species; the climate changed too rapidly. Also, because of modern medicine, everybody who would have died naturally (natural selection) gets to hang around a while, reproducing and continuing their gene line. Hmm, what else? Oh yeah, every credible scientist (aka the smart people) support the theory of evolution. There's plenty of science there. There has been for centuries. Philosophy is for philosophers and religion, science deals with fact. Speaking of killing, you Christians are hardly the pacifist bunch you say you are. Remember the crusades? Spanish Inquisition? Salem witch trials? Death penalty? Oh, and let's not forget Christian Europe in the 20th century produced Lenin, Stalin, Mussolini and Hitler, winning Christians all.

Err..the whole point is that is basically what happens anyhow. Now we have very little pressure to change now, but it is still happening.

- We are about 25% taller in the last few hundred years
- Our little toes are noticeably smaller
- Our jaws are noticeably smaller
- and in the last 2000 years we walk noticeably more upright.

All that other stuff you are assuming that it would happen fast or make superman. No one ever said any of that. We as a species have made it through several major shifts in weather. Heck we have gotten through two ice ages.

And you are living in a total fantasy land if you think that the only people that buy evolution are liberals.

You are an excellent example of how believing in Jesus BS and trusting faith turns a brain to mush. Of course you're just wanting to inflame, you have no interest at all in learning about evolution. ( BTW as "ridiculous" as it may seem, the process of evolution was not created, but rather was discovered. It's something that's really happening.)

Please go right on trusting Jesus. It will help end your blood line some day because the process of evolution is going to leave you and your kind behind.

Are you serious. Have you ever ONCE opened a science book. O wait, bad question, you must be an ignorant christian afraid of finding out the truth and having your "God" question. Just do us all a favor, go back to your church and give up on trying to argue a point in which you have no knowledge. Try reading a book other than the bible before you try and argue a non biblical point, you might learn something, or you might refuse to believe it, either way its the truth you need to learn before trying to make an accusation about something they didn't cover in bible school.

Somebody seems a little upset at reality today.

"shouldn't we get back to the killing of the weak, the sick, the weird and the minority"
-- we don't do that. Study natural selection a little bit if you want to learn something.

Your attempts at equating the theory of evolution to social Darwinism are childish.

If you use science to explain your beliefs, at least know what you are talking about. The science IS there, it's hard for someone who is under the real VIRUS, called Religion. Jesus was a man who died 2,000 years ago. The bible was written by people who lived 2,000 years ago who knew very little of the world around them. It's hard for someone who is under the influence of religion to understand REAL science and truth it reveals.

All life is connected, from trees, to bacteria, dinosaurs, sharks and people. All life has evolved from a single instance 4 billion years ago. All of this revealed by science, not by religion and certainly by Jesus and Christianity. Evolution is such a beautiful thing because it shows we are all related. But not only on this planet but in the universe. As Carl Sagan said, "we are a way for the cosmos to know itself."

I have no idea what the exact point of your inane rant was but you are wrong. You don't understand evolution, I have no idea where you get the killing of the weak from (I suspect you misunderstand survival of the fittest), then you go on with some PETA rant. Then you attack environmentalists.

And then you lie about the evidence (you should investigate why it is a scientific theory sometime) and pretend that your 33% christian global minority is in any way significant.

Part of what makes humankind so successful is that we have developed society to such a degree by creating morality and justice. It's far from perfect, but we make it work well enough. It's part of what makes us "fittest." Social Darwinism is neither true Darwinism nor Evolution.

because the theory of evolution is a description of nature (which you have apparently misunderstood), and not a prescription about how we ought to live. sorry to be blunt but you really are an idiot if you can't see the difference between description and prescription. just because one accepts the law of gravity does not mean that one is morally obliged to fall down at every opportunity.

You have completely misunderstood evolution. And you appear to be ignorant about who supports/does not support the death penalty, the environment and so much more.
