to invent pop corn ceilings? I hate them with a purple passion

You ain't the only one! Let me guess, yer painting and it looks like it's snowing in the room? I've been there. Here's the key....Extra wooly roller, light pressure, lots of paint, and a good drop cloth! They make a patch for the spots that do come off, just put it on with a drywall knife, fluff it up with a paint roller, and if you lucked up and yer cielings are white, you won't even have to paint it.

I don't know, but I do know that builders love it because it saves them so much on labor costs. Next time I build a house, I'll pay extra for sanded ceilings!!

The idea is that they cover a lot of defects. They do have their problems--they gather dust, for one thing--but I think they're fairly straightforward to renew.

yeah, I hate them too...we call them cottage cheese ceilings.
