There's this saying of dusting off your feet from the doorsteps when your are treated rudely. This means that people do have a right to keep to their own lives, religions, opinions, but we find it as a duty to tell others the truth (as we see it) and ensure that people know the truth about Christ's ransom sacrifice and the promise made to all of us by Jehoah God. Now I'm not trying to "shove religion down your throat", but maybe if you took a sip, you'd see that it's not bitter, but actually smooth to the palate and sweet like honey...
Thanks for such an open-minded question.

Proverbs says an answer when mild turns away rage. Jesus said to treat others the way you want to be treated. Paul said a Christian does not need to fight. And, as one poster mentioned, Jesus warned his disciples that they would get this type of treatment and worse. Certainly the disciples did. You may recall that Paul was stoned and left for dead. Peter was flogged.
When householders are rude, I simply end the visit, wish them a nice day and walk away. Householders have different reasons for being rude. Sometimes we simply catch them at a wrong moment. Sometimes they do not understand our work; sometimes they are unaware that Jesus and his disciples did a work just like this and that Jesus commanded his followers to preach the good news of God’s kingdom from city to city and house to house. Some feel we are intruding on their privacy. In truth, the courts of the land have upheld the legal right of anyone (not just Witnesses) to go door to door and many may not be aware of this legal right. As for their privacy, no one need ever answer their door or their phones for that matter. That is up to the householder.
In the final analysis, this work is done by Witnesses because Christ commanded his followers to do so. Soon enough, Christ will call a halt to this work. It is then that the rudeness will end.

there's no scripture that asserts basically a hundred and forty four,000 can partake of the trademarks, actual. yet there ARE scriptures that say basically the judges/kings can partake of them. Luke 22:19, 20 (study 28-30). a million Cor. 6:2, 3. The saints or judges are stated as the two "virgins" and "firstfruits" besides by way of fact the twelve tribes scattered out of the country. 2 Cor. 11:3, James a million:a million, 2, 18, Romans 8:17, 23*, a million Cor. 15:23. The Bible shows the form of firstfruits/virgins/judges is constrained to a hundred and forty four,000. Revelation 14:3, 4. it fairly is Jesus and the saints, no longer Jewish boys, who're the firstfruits. those kings at the instant are not the only inheritance regardless of the shown fact that and are not even the only rulers. Psalms 40 5:sixteen dedicated ones will rule on earth as mere princes rather of kings plus there are subjects from sea to sea on the hot earth. Psalms 72:a million-8. interior the non secular experience of eating and eating regardless of the shown fact that, ALL could consume. That refers to taking in teachings and starting to be like Jesus. a million Cor. 10:20-22, a million Peter 2:21, Heb. 5:8, 9. The heavenly ones are covenanted to provide up their human lives, earthly relationships, even their names to be born lower back as spirit sons of God in heaven. Debbie

Hello Friend:
To answer your question, Jesus taught us to expect the kind of treatment we sometimes receive.
Don't forget Satan is still out there, influencing bad activity on the part of people who are easily influenced to do evil.
Some even get violent and have killed some of our brothers and sisters.
I won't go into some of the other acts that we encounter in order not to give others any ideas.
We are a patient, loving people who always remember "Vengeance is mine!" Thus sayeth the lord."(KJ version)

Being an ex jehovahs witness, You pretty much get calloused by it, if you believe in what your saying is true then you just keep goin. You already have the idea in your head that its satan making these people rude and nasty the way they are so it does not really bother you and then ontop of that, being that i was a child when I was a witness it pretty much prepared me for the real world, A whole bunch of rude people and doors being slammed in your face.

Ironically, a typical Jehovah's Witness minister is generally quite encouraged by a householder's rudeness. Likely, they feel as the apostles did in the first century:
(Acts 5:40-42) [The Jewish Sanhedrin] summoned the apostles, flogged them, and ordered them to stop speaking upon the basis of Jesus’ name, and let them go. 41 These, therefore, went their way from before the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy to be dishonored in behalf of his name. 42 And every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.

I found it exceptionally rude of a pair of JWs to knock on my door on Christmas Day! That's my family time that I spend celebrating the birth of our Savior. THEY need to respect that even though THEY don't celebrate Christmas, others do!
Now, I'll admit that JWs are some of the nicest and politest people in the world...but they can also use some pretty lousy judgement at times!
