okay, so if i took 1 cough/cold pill this morning around 6:30, and 2 antihistamine pills this afternoon around 3:00, is it okay for me to take an ibuprofen now (at 7:00 PM)? like will there be any synergistic effects or anything?

Probably not, but there's no way for us to know. I'm not even sure you know what you took. It would be better not to think of the first pill as a cough/cold pill. That may be its advertising, but what are the ingredients and their actions? That's what you should know. Some of the multi-symptom pills contain a host of drugs, but as long as none is an NSAID, you should be OK. You might also be sure your antihistamine is really an antihistamine and not anything else, including a combination.
