They sure do make good Camcorders. I've had my Sony 6.1 Home Theater system receiver since 2004 and it's still working like a charm. No complaints when it comes to Sony.

Hi .Back in the 70s and 80s Sony Amplifiers were hard to beat for sound quality. And of course they released the first Compact Disc Player in 1982. Today with Home Theater Receivers taking center stage a lot of enthusiasts feel that the Sony Receivers do not come up to the standard of other well known brands. I can't verify this because i have not heard one in action. Actually i don't use a Receiver in my Home Theater system as they degrade the sound quality.I have a completely different set up which actually approaches a live performance.

Sony has been struggling with quality control for awhile now, with DRM , Blu-ray specs and rootkits galore, are you sure you would trust Sony to run propietary techonology on your computer? If they stick rootkits on their USB drives

Their not. They gave up quality when they started catering to the Walmart crowd. They stopped making Plasmas for consumers because they couldn't compete. They still make industrial plasmas but the reviews are horrible on those, too. Quantity over quality.

Sony built their reputation a long time ago, that's why they're famous, just like anyother corporation.
