Absolute proof requires complete knowledge of something. Philosophers would say, for example, that since we cannot know everything about the chairs we sit on, there remains a basis for doubt - however slight...as human beings we cannot possess absolute proof of anything. So, why do they need this?

Why don't you ask an atheist IF they need absolute proof of God--or anything for that matter--before you go assuming that we do!

In truth, we don't ask for absolute proof of anything! In the interests of science, if something has any relevant impact on the world around us, it will eventually give evidence of it's own existance, even if physicists, chemist, etc, aren't looking for it--in fact observable quirks in experiments have led to discoveries in science that were not even being sought by the original experiment. I would wager that most major discoveries in science have been the results noticing of such quirks!

If God exists, we atheists actually welcome him! All he has to do is give evidence of his existance by displaying some force over matter--which "He" has yet to do (at least in a way that is attributable to him, and not, say electromagnetism). However, if "He" proves himself to be just another "force of nature" then he's in for a rude awakening, as he'll just be referred to as such.

This isn't true. Most atheists ask for evidence, not proof. The resounding lack of evidence (objective, validatable, verifiable) to support the existence of any god leads many to atheism.

we don't, or at least the smart ones don't. the other ones, ehh. they might just be denying religion because their family does it or something. anyway, i dont ask for absolute proof, because i don't have absolute proof that he doesnt exist. i only ask for probable cause to believe, and i have yet to see any of that.

Just a little evidence, not absolute proof. Your problem is you have none

because they know we cannot give it, just as they cannot provide us with absolute proof He doesn't exist.

Athiests are still seeking! They have not learned the concept of faith.

because really deep down they know that God is real otherwise they wouldn't work so hard at proving that He isn't

So because there is no proof we should believe blindly?

Get real.
