By investigating the facts.
Just like faith & works, faith & reason must go hand-in-hand. God built this world over a long period of time using the laws of science and nature. Therefore, these laws should support our faith and beliefs, rather than refute them.
Search the facts, find out for yourself, and if it doesn't sit well with your faith or beliefs, then maybe your faith and beliefs need a slight adjustment. I did this, found that some of my LDS beliefs needed to be adjusted, and am now much happier with my life and my faith.
I wish you good luck! Contact me if you have questions.
God speed!

My faith has its roots in one simple prayer. In that prayer I was told, through the power of the Holy Ghost, that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's church and as I have actively striven to obey the commandments of Christ I have had that testimony reconfirmed and strengthened again and again. That is how I strengthen my testimony.

The disciples asked a similar question. Jesus answered them in Luke 17:5-10. Basically he said that don't expect a reward for doing what is expected of you. Keep serving God and your fellow men. As we do that, our faith will grow because when you put others before yourself, you will be blessed.

By constantly searching, reading, and pondering the scriptures.
Also by prayer I can better my relationship between God and myself.
Bearing my testimony helps strength my faith as well. I also do some missionary work with the missionaries in our ward so that definitely helps strength my faith.

Remember it's not about finding yourself. It is about finding Jesus Christ.
That's why it is faith in Jesus Christ.
Study the scriptures and follow the Savior's teaching, the way to grow the seed.
