Or do you believe you have a purpose?

If you don't think you have a purpose on this Earth, how do you get from day to day without feeling inconsequential and unnessasary?

I believe I am where I am by a combination of free will and coincidence.

As regarding the subject of purpose, humans are not born with a pre-programmed set of instructions or "purpose" which leads them to a specific destiny. However, this doesn't mean that people can't construct a purpose for themselves independent of the lack of inherent meaning to any single human existence. Some people decide to dedicate their lives to promoting the preservation of the natural environment, others pursue personal goals of monetary gain, and many feel compelled to spend their time persuading other people to hold the same religious beliefs as their own. While some might disagree about the source of any particular "purpose" to life, in reality they are all self-generated priorities that we create to feel connected to those around us and society at large. The key is to find a "purpose" that you believe is worth striving for.

Notably, some people don't find that "purpose" that gives them a sense of meaning and value to their life, and sometimes, unfortunately, those feelings result in suicide. The point is, people get from day to day by finding something to live for, whether it be Jesus, saving the whales, or accumulating wealth, and others fail to make it to the next day. Whether or not you believe that your "purpose" was an arbitrary personal choice or a mandate from a higher power seems to be inconsequential in terms of ensuring one's survival. Or, put more simply, not every atheist is severely depressed.

I have whatever purpose I've carved out for myself. My genetics and the culture and family with which I happened to be born were, for the most part, happenstance. I don't feel that makes me "inconsequential" at all. I'm quite necessary to a few people in my life.

I have a purpose. Known only to GOD.

I do not what it is - I could have already accomplished it. I have my son, I helped a few people, I was in Navy.
It could be years from now - to help new nurses/doctors when I get older, I could help someone not born yet someway.

No, I had say in where I'm at. I think that as long as I'm still breathing there's purpose.

I have purpose. Be willing to what it is the Lord asks and he'll give you purpose.

I have a purpose. A definitive purpose.
Everyday to live more Christ-like, to learn more and to apply more that I have learned in Christ Jesus.
