I went to search for the serial parts I.D. number on my truck on the inside of the glove box door and it is not there. Is there any other way I may be able to locate this? (It is not the VIN number in case someone wants to know.) I really need that number. My truck has a small block 350 with a TH350 if that helps.

Have you checked with GMC for this? It seems to me that if you gave them your VIN they could give you the info. Have you checked the engine for a number. We had an old GMC truck & there were #s on the engine. In the Glove box, did you pull the back panel off because somtimes the #s are well hidden. I found #s in all sorts of weird places on GMC vehicles that came out in the 70s.
