I'm spiritual but not religious. I believe that there's not necessarily a "higher being" as much as beings who exist on the next level. It's like mankind is to say, cells. We watch them multiply, we influence their lives by adding chemicals and different catalysts. Maybe we don't entirely know what we're doing but I'm certain the cells are aware of at least something going on. Say there were higher beings who gazed down on us from some higher level, influenced our lives, and perhaps were advanced to a degree that they could hear our voices?

Spirituality to me means having or trying to attain more self awareness. Through contemplation and meditation striving for inner peace and inner strength. There is a mind and body connection or I personally believe that they are one and the same. There are more nerves in the brain that connect to the digestive system than connect to each other, that means that in some respects there is more energy being directed toward digestion than there is to thought. So if there is anything wrong with the nervous system, it’s going to affect the digestive system profoundly. I also believe in listen to our intuition and would love to find ways to inhance it. I believe that humans have the ablility to connect on a higher level . We just need disipline to do this. I can't do it but some can.

I regarded myself as an agnostic for the longest time basically because i got a headache when i tried to think about "what if."

Religion is a touchy subject especially when you are talking to religious people. How can you be so sure you are right? So sure that you damn others for not sharing the same beliefs. Nobody is sure. People think they are sure, but are they...really? I refuse to pretend where ignorant men are sure. The bible was meant to be a guideline...but it's now regarded as a rule book. "Follow the word, or go to hell!!" Thats not what religion is supposed to be about. That book filled with fiction and non-fiction is supposed to give us an idea. An IDEA.

To be spiritual is to have a sense of whats going on. To have a sense of why we are here. To have a sense of right and wrong. God gave us sense, did you think he did this without expecting us to use it? I'm going to live the way I think I'm meant to, and hopefully I'll be in heaven with Ghandi and Buddha one day.

I guess I'm religious...in a spiritual sense.......?

Maybe im dead wrong about all of this, and I'm going to burn in the helfires for all eternity....but who's sure?

Spiritual can be defined as "profound in thinking' not necessarily mystical. The spirit of man, such as the spirit of Aristotle, for example, figuratively speaking, is his mind, his special ability to think, imagine, have creative ideas.

Humans can be said to be "spiritual" as opposed to animals because humans can consceptualize and make the world adapt to their needs instead of adapting to the environment. If it weren't for the "spiritual" aspect of human nature, like animals, we would not have made any discoveries, any inventions, we would not have created different cultures, with literature, theatre, poetry, music. We would be like dogs. The dogs of 10,000 years ago lived exactly like today's dogs because their brains are not creative, imaginative "spiritual" like ours.

Atheists who reason and have creative ideas are every bit as "spiritual" (or even more so) than believers of mystical entities.

I am.

It is all in how you define "religion". Love is not a religion. I find religions to be rigidly exclusive rather than inclusive. I have decided to follow the teachings of Christ but do not adhere to any particular denominationally religious dogma or doctrine. I am not a member of any specific local church but interact within many denominations and even those of dramatically different beliefs.

I AM.
religion takes place in the Mental Realm
I got Saved (Spirit Recreated) and that takes Place in the Spiritual Realm.
It is called Reality, not religion.
