back before Jesus, folks had to sacrifice animals to attone for sins with God...

...but God was to His choosen people: "...ok, no more sacrificing animals 'cuse I'm going to send the messiah with NEW instructions on how you will attone for sins...

...the choosen people were like "...forget that, we don't want any Messiah coming and ruining our good time...lets kill Him"...

...so God was like "ok choosen people, since you've killed your Messiah (sacrificing him like a lamb), I'm going to make these NEW instructions available to everyone in the world...

You ALMOST have it! The lamb at Passover was the symbol. Jesus was the fulfillment.

No. Jesus was not a symbolical passover sacrifice.
The passover lamb was symbolical of Jesus who was the real thing.

He is actually THE SACRIFICE and the Passover is the symbolism of His blood and how if believers that trust in Him will have death passover them and not overtake them (spiritually).
